Revdex.com:i I just want Loretta to know that it was not me that called the state after the fact. I am also not the person that posted nasty things in a child care forum.  Sounds like you have a few other people that are dissatisfied with you. Yes, you did offer me a spot in the toddler house, but I do not feel it appropriate to put a 5 month old in with all toddlers.  I want the deposit back because it was meant to hold my spot. You revoked my spot after 5 weeks, so what recourse do I have? Why can't you just give us our money back? Why does this have to be so difficult?
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[redacted] Bad business practice. You keep my money then. You didn't earn it, but obviously you're hard up. I found a very nice place for my son. He goes twice a week, they are flexible, cheaper than you, and I didn't have to pay any deposit. Thank you for pushing is out of your care. I'm much more comfortable now, and my son doesn't come home with a blistered butt.I have no doubt that you will get yours some day. No, that is not a threat, and we never slandered your name. We are not the sort of people that do that. I did however write a review on Angie's List. I'm sure that will have been for nothing, as well. I also let the people who recommended you to us know the situation. Not sure if they will continue to be a referral for you.take care, and God bless

I do realize that you are not the person who called the State. I know who did because this person verbally told me they did. I do think that you are saying nasty things to slander the business or myself. In my statement I noted that their were families by email telling me that they were going to post nasty things about me on child care forums. I never stated that it was you are your spouse. Your spouse did make a reference as to how I advertise. But he did not say directly that he would post things. I did offer you the space at the toddler home where there would be children there that would be your child's age. This would then allow you to have child care for the 1 day that you needed. The one day was requested in January 2015. You then put down a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to as you stated " Hold your spot for day care" The spot was held. You were pregnant and you waited until your child was born. After the baby was born, then months later your baby started. The deposit as you knew at the time of placing it. That this was ONLY , ONLY to hold your spot for child care. Little Creek Daycare did this. You were also aware that this deposit would not be used or applied to any other arrangement. I make this very clear to families before accepting it. You then started daycare and began making your regular payments thereafter, Not once requesting any reference to the deposit made in January. The deposit was only mentioned weeks later. Prior to this deposit conversation was over in January 2015. While your child was in our care at Little Creek Daycare. We had not one incident of your families unhappiness or disapproval of our services. Not one. I wanted to offer you a chance to have the 1 day child care services of children that are there at the second home and that are thriving exceptionally well.  You did decline this offer. You have a choice to find the best fit for your family. This offer would have allowed you the chance to have daycare at the second location, this allowing you time to find daycare at another location (provider) for the 1 day of child care that was needed. I have been in business for almost 12 years and this has been my practice with the deposit. I always call local daycare homes and centers to find out the practices of other business that way I can stay in tune with the local businesses. This practice is not foreign. This is a matter of policy, procedures that are put in place to have some form or order and consistent business practice. One that is not flimsy, fly by night. But a standard. This gives potential families a choice  to say "YES" or "NO" in deciding " Do I want to put down a  NON- REFUNDABLE deposit to hold my spot for day care at Little Creek Daycare?

I am writing to you in response to a complaint towards Little Creek Daycare. Many families take a great deal of time researching child care homes to find what they feel to...

be the most suitable fit for their families. Little Creek Daycare works hard to please the families that make a choice to bring their most precious children to us. My policy has always been that a Non-Refundable Deposit is put in place for families that would like to secure their child care space with Little Creek Daycare. During this process there is a thorough interview that takes about an hour which allows the families to ask as many questions as they would like. After the interview/ tour the families are given a Parental Reference list where they have the chance to talk with several past and current families about their experience with Little Creek Daycare. With this oppourtunity it helps the families to make a grounded decision in their choice to enroll in Little Creek Daycare.
It has been my policy for years. I have attached for you supporting emails and a few receipts of this practice. It will show years of this policy. From 2012-2015. I am hoping that it will show clearly on attachment for the receipts are very old. I have also attached the receipt that the parent was referring to with her deposit this is receipt # [redacted]. You will also, find on the receipts a family that had put the deposit down and then Mom decided to stay home, receipt then also stating NON-REFUNDABLE. A email is attached with a current conversation with a family who will be coming where a deposit has been placed and a clear understanding has been highlighted with myself and Mom, Dad of the agreement of this deposit.
The State was called to Little Creek Daycare because of the ratio of the children. Not tha the daycare was not safe or clean. There was not a statement made in this regard, only the ratio of children. The State did come out, She stated" Loretta you must come into compliance with the ratio." I replied by letting her know that I would do that effective immediately!! I told her that we had families transitioning and that was the reason for the overflow of children. She stated" Loretta you must get incompliance with the State of Indiana. I told her I would and that I would contact her tomorrow in regards to my progress. That evening I had a employee stay over and witness phone calls that were being made to the families. I tried reaching the family that has come to Revdex.com but was unable to and so I left a voicemail stating what had occured. The next morning I texted the family and asked did she get my voicemail. She stated that she did and that she would call me in a few for more details. When this parent called me the same day she questioned who called the state? I told her I would not give that information out. She asked me if should could stay a couple of weeks so that she could find daycare. I then told her that I was sony and that I was not able to do that. She then said " What about the deposit I paid? Can I have that back? I stated that this was a NON- REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. She said " so I do not get my money back? I again repeated the same thing. She was very frustrated. I apologize for this. We were both hanging on the phone. I then suggested to her that I could allow her to enroll in the toddler daycare which is the second child care home of Little Creek Daycare. I told her that there were three infant openings there and that I would move her son there for the one day ( Thursday) that he would need. This allowing her to 1) Enroll for the one day that was needed. 2) Allow her family time to find child care for him in another program. She then states " I do not want that". I told her that that was the only thing I could offer her. She then said so what am I supposed to do Loretta it took me months to find you? I then apologize again and said the only thing I can do is offer to you a space in the second daycare for children age appropiate would be in the setting for her son to thrive with. She declined this offer. Finally, she said so do I have to come and get his stuff now? I said no you do not. I have all of his things together if you can just come some time this week and pick up his stuff she said " ok" then the call ended.
 
This client then has her husband to come and when he came I welcomed him there and asked for him to come to the back where I was to talk with me. The time was about 5:25 pm , we close at 5:30pm. He was questioning about everything and of course I was trying to keep him calm for there were other families picking up their babies. He was very upset, and was speaking in a very sarcastic way as if he wanted to argue. I then told him that I wall not argue with you. I have supplied you with [redacted] name (State Rep). Please call her with any concerns. I assure you she will tell you the same thing that I am telling you is that I must come incompliance. This parent questioned me how did I advertised, I told him word of mouth, he said " Exactly your customer service is bad!" I did hear from the State that a parent had called down and said " She let all her part time children go" The state said " Loretta did what we asked her to do". I received a phone call last week from a past family and the mother stated to me that she felt like I had a right to know that there were some nasty things written about me and Little Creek Daycare on a Facebook child care Forum. She said that if any one would read it it would clearly show that the lady who wrote it was very angry at me. She said the lady was clearing describing another Little Creek Daycare. She stated" My husband said you have to call Loretta , Loretta has a
 
right to know what is being said. The parents are angry and so I knew that this would be coming. I have been in business for 11 yrs and have had a glowing reference with many families. The State sets rules and guidelines that should never be broken or negotiated. I have many families that have been with me for years. I have cared for families where all their children have come to Little Creek Daycare. It was stated in the letter that Revdex.com sent to me that " SHE decided to drop all the part- time families. This was a decision that was based on compliance and the decision to obey the State rules. This family was offered the one day child care at the second home which was declined.
 
The parent also stated that even though this put her in a inconvenience bind that she did understand. When a deposit is made this secures daycare for them to start. Once they start they are to make weekly payments for child care of which this family did thru Chase Quick Pay. Deposit was put down 1/16/15 and the space was held for them until the child was born. Months later is when child care began and first week of daycare a payment was made of $50.00. Child care payment $50.00 per day. This family came one day a week. (Thursday). If available space was there on a daycare week, Mom would ask if she could bring the baby a extra day. This being sometimes 2 days that week. Mom and Dad were very happy and we had a very good relationship prior to this. I know that they are very, upset and angry and so I expected something to come from this anger.
