I am writing to you in response to a complaint towards Little Creek DaycareMany families take a great deal of time researching child care homes to find what they feel to be the most suitable fit for their familiesLittle Creek Daycare works hard to please the families that make a choice to bring their most precious children to usMy policy has always been that a Non-Refundable Deposit is put in place for families that would like to secure their child care space with Little Creek DaycareDuring this process there is a thorough interview that takes about an hour which allows the families to ask as many questions as they would likeAfter the interview/ tour the families are given a Parental Reference list where they have the chance to talk with several past and current families about their experience with Little Creek DaycareWith this oppourtunity it helps the families to make a grounded decision in their choice to enroll in Little Creek Daycare It has been my policy for yearsI have attached for you supporting emails and a few receipts of this practiceIt will show years of this policyFrom 2012-I am hoping that it will show clearly on attachment for the receipts are very oldI have also attached the receipt that the parent was referring to with her deposit this is receipt # [redacted] You will also, find on the receipts a family that had put the deposit down and then Mom decided to stay home, receipt then also stating NON-REFUNDABLEA email is attached with a current conversation with a family who will be coming where a deposit has been placed and a clear understanding has been highlighted with myself and Mom, Dad of the agreement of this deposit The State was called to Little Creek Daycare because of the ratio of the childrenNot tha the daycare was not safe or cleanThere was not a statement made in this regard, only the ratio of childrenThe State did come out, She stated" Loretta you must come into compliance with the ratio." I replied by letting her know that I would do that effective immediately!! I told her that we had families transitioning and that was the reason for the overflow of childrenShe stated" Loretta you must get incompliance with the State of IndianaI told her I would and that I would contact her tomorrow in regards to my progressThat evening I had a employee stay over and witness phone calls that were being made to the familiesI tried reaching the family that has come to Revdex.com but was unable to and so I left a voicemail stating what had occuredThe next morning I texted the family and asked did she get my voicemailShe stated that she did and that she would call me in a few for more detailsWhen this parent called me the same day she questioned who called the state? I told her I would not give that information outShe asked me if should could stay a couple of weeks so that she could find daycareI then told her that I was sony and that I was not able to do thatShe then said " What about the deposit I paid? Can I have that back? I stated that this was a NON- REFUNDABLE DEPOSITShe said " so I do not get my money back? I again repeated the same thingShe was very frustratedI apologize for thisWe were both hanging on the phoneI then suggested to her that I could allow her to enroll in the toddler daycare which is the second child care home of Little Creek DaycareI told her that there were three infant openings there and that I would move her son there for the one day ( Thursday) that he would needThis allowing her to 1) Enroll for the one day that was needed2) Allow her family time to find child care for him in another programShe then states " I do not want that"I told her that that was the only thing I could offer herShe then said so what am I supposed to do Loretta it took me months to find you? I then apologize again and said the only thing I can do is offer to you a space in the second daycare for children age appropiate would be in the setting for her son to thrive withShe declined this offerFinally, she said so do I have to come and get his stuff now? I said no you do notI have all of his things together if you can just come some time this week and pick up his stuff she said " ok" then the call ended This client then has her husband to come and when he came I welcomed him there and asked for him to come to the back where I was to talk with meThe time was about 5:pm , we close at 5:30pmHe was questioning about everything and of course I was trying to keep him calm for there were other families picking up their babiesHe was very upset, and was speaking in a very sarcastic way as if he wanted to argueI then told him that I wall not argue with youI have supplied you with [redacted] name (State Rep)Please call her with any concernsI assure you she will tell you the same thing that I am telling you is that I must come incomplianceThis parent questioned me how did I advertised, I told him word of mouth, he said " Exactly your customer service is bad!" I did hear from the State that a parent had called down and said " She let all her part time children go" The state said " Loretta did what we asked her to do"I received a phone call last week from a past family and the mother stated to me that she felt like I had a right to know that there were some nasty things written about me and Little Creek Daycare on a Facebook child care ForumShe said that if any one would read it it would clearly show that the lady who wrote it was very angry at meShe said the lady was clearing describing another Little Creek DaycareShe stated" My husband said you have to call Loretta , Loretta has a right to know what is being saidThe parents are angry and so I knew that this would be comingI have been in business for yrs and have had a glowing reference with many familiesThe State sets rules and guidelines that should never be broken or negotiatedI have many families that have been with me for yearsI have cared for families where all their children have come to Little Creek DaycareIt was stated in the letter that Revdex.com sent to me that " SHE decided to drop all the part- time familiesThis was a decision that was based on compliance and the decision to obey the State rulesThis family was offered the one day child care at the second home which was declined The parent also stated that even though this put her in a inconvenience bind that she did understandWhen a deposit is made this secures daycare for them to startOnce they start they are to make weekly payments for child care of which this family did thru Chase Quick PayDeposit was put down 1/16/and the space was held for them until the child was bornMonths later is when child care began and first week of daycare a payment was made of $Child care payment $per dayThis family came one day a week(Thursday)If available space was there on a daycare week, Mom would ask if she could bring the baby a extra dayThis being sometimes days that weekMom and Dad were very happy and we had a very good relationship prior to thisI know that they are very, upset and angry and so I expected something to come from this anger Please contact me at 317-985-at any time if you have any more questionsSincerely, Loretta [redacted]
