I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
THE STATEMENTS MADE BY THE BUSINESS ARE UNTRUE! THE BED WAS A FLOOR SAMPLE WHICH I CAN AGREE WITH BUT IT WAS ALREADY WRAPPED IN A PROTECTIVE PLASTIC, SO ON THE DAY WE PICKED THE BED UP WE WERE UNABLE TO SEE ANY CRACKS OR BROKEN PIECES UNTIL WE MADE IT HOME AND REMOVED THE PLASTICONCE WE NOTICED THE BED POST WAS BROKEN, AS FAST AS THEY PUT IT OUT THE STORE WAS AS FAST AS WE BROUGHT THE POST BACK IT WE WERE NOT EVEN ABLE TO SET THE BED UP BECAUSE WERE INSOECTING THE BED WHEN WE BROUGHT THE BED POST BACK TO THE STORE THAT IS WHEN THE *** *** TOLD US TO LEAVE THE POST AND HE WILL TALK TO *** *** TTO SEE IF HE CAN ORDER A NEW BED POST FOR US BEING THAT THEY NO LONGER HAD ANY AT THE STORE HE ALSO STATED MAYBE WE CAN GET IT FROM HIS OTHER STORE THE NEXT DAY THE *** *** CALLED MY PHONE AND SAID THE BED POST WAS FIXED AND IT WAS OK TO PICK IT UP MY HUSBAND PICKED UP THE BED POST AND BROUGHT IT HOME I NEVER WENT AND PICK THE POST UP FROM THE STORE AS STATED IN THE STORE'S RESPONSE THAT WAS COMPLETELY FALSE MY HUSBAND BROUGHT THE POST HOME AND WE SAW THE GLUE ON THE POST, I CALLED THE STORE AND I TOLD THEM BEFORE EVEN SETTING THE BED UP THAT IT WILL NOT WORK THAT WAY BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY FALL APART DUE TO THE WEIGHTOF THE MATTRESS THEY INSURE IT WILL BE OKAY MY HUSBAND PUT THE BED TOGETHER AND SO SAID SO DONE THE WEIGHT OF THE MATTRESS WAS UNABLE TO KEEP THE GLUED POST TOGETHER MY HUSBAND CALLED THE STORE AND TOLD *** AND TOLD HIM HE HAS TWO OPTIONS EITHER GETTING US A NEW POST OR WE WANT A REFUNDTHE *** STATED WE WERE NOT DOING IT RIGHT THE IS WHY THE BED POST KEEP BREAKING I THEN GOT ON THE PHONE AND TOLD HIM NO MATTER HOW MANY WAYS YOU GLUE THAT POST IT WILL ALWAYS BREAK AT THAT SAME SPOTWE THEN PACKED THE FURNITURE UP AND TOOKIT TO THE STORE, WHEN WE GOT THERETHE *** *** GOT UPSET AND ASK WHY DID WE BRING THE BED BACK WE TOLD HIM BECAUSE HE DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM HE THEN STATED FOR US TO LEAVE THE BED BECAUSE HE HAS THE TOOLS RIGHT DOWNSTAIRS AND HE COULD FIX ITWE TOLD HIM TO DO IT RIGHT NOW THE WAY WE CAN GO HOME WITH THE BEDHE TOLD US NO WE HAD TO LEAVE IT, SO I REQUESTED A REFUND THEY NEVER TOLD US THE COMPANY NO LONGER MAKE THAT SPECIFIC BEDREADING IT IN THEIR RESPONSE IS MY FIRST TIME KNOWING THIS THEY TOLD US THEY HAD NO MOREAS FOR TELLING USER THE BED WAS DAMAGED HIS EMPLOYEE SAID THE BED WAS IN GOOD CONDITION WHEN MY HUSBAND ASKED IF THE BED WAS BROKEN WE ARE NOW SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE OF THIS I SIMPLY WANT MY MONEY BACK TO BUY ANOTHER BEDFRAME ELSE WHERE AND HE CAN HAVE HIS FURNITURE BACK THEY ARE LIARS AND BECAUSE OF THAT DISHONESTY IS THE REASON I WANT NOTHING FROM THEMI WILL HONESTLY NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE AGAIN

The customer purchased, on lay a way, a bed that was a floor sample. It was told to her that it was no longer manufactured by the company. She agreed to buy it.
She picked up the bed and she examined...

it & was satisfied. It was wrapped for her in protective wrapping and taken by her .
She complained that one of the bed posts was cracked as it was being set up by her husband. We told her to bring the bed post back for repair by us as the manufacturer does not have any parts any moe. She did.
We glued the bed post and repaired it. She examined it and was satisfied.
She came back with her husband and said that her husband cracked the bed post when he was trying to set it up again.
We offered her to credit the monies paid for the bed toward another bed.
She refused.
We explained that as written on the receipt "No refund on layaways, No exchange on layaways". However, as we are a neighborhood store for over 25 years we always try to accommodate our customers and we would allow the monies paid by her to be credited. She refused and wanted her money back.
Our position is that the bed was fine when it left the store but the customer's husband in attempting to put the bed together damaged it not only once but twice.
As stated we have been in business for over 25 years and are always attuned to our customers.
Since it was a floor sample and no longer manufactured it was sold "as is" and accepted that way. Any damages were caused in the improper way it was being set up.
We attempted to correct the damage and again it was damaged by not setting it up properly.
We attempted to mediate the issue by offering a credit to another purchase but it was refused.

Review: ON MARCH [redacted] 2014 I BOUGHT A BED FRAME FROM ALL SEASONS DECOR INC. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS THE FLOOR SAMPLE I WAS PURCHASING AND IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE STORE ASSOCIATED THEN EXPLAINED THE REASON THE PRICE WAS LOWERED WAS BECAUSE IT WAS ALSO THE LAST ONE AND THE WANTED TO SELL IT. ON MARCH [redacted] I RETURNED WITH MY HUSBAND TO PICK THE BED FRAME UP. THE STORE EMPLOYEES WRAPPED THE BED IN PLASTIC WRAP FOR US AND EVEN TOOK THE BED FRAME OUT TO THE CAR FOR US. LATER ON THAT EVENING MY HUSBAND AND I STARTED PREPARING TO ASSEMBLE THE BED. WHEN MY HUSBAND TOOK THE PLASTIC WRAP OFF ONE OF THE BED POST HE NOTICED A LONG CRACK IN THE WOOD. WE CALLED THE STORE AND TOOK THE PIECE BACK. WE REQUESTED FOR A NEW BED POST BECAUSE OF THE CONDITION ON THE CURRENT ONE WE HAD. ON MARCH [redacted] THE [redacted] CALLED MY CELLPHONE SAYING I WAS ABLE TO PICK UP THE BED POST AND THAT IT WAS FIXED. MY HUSBAND PICKED IT UP AND CAME HOME, THIS TIME WE NOTICED IT WAS THE VERY SAME POST WE TOOK IN ONLY THING THE STORE GLUED THE PIECES BACK TOGETHER. AT THIS POINT I WAS FURIOUS BECAUSE ONCE WE PLACED OUR MATTRESS ON THE BED THE FRAMED BROKE IN THE SAME SPOKE IT WAS GLUED. MY HUSBAND AND I CALLED THE [redacted] AND EXPLAINED TO HIM THE PIECE IS FAULTY. HE BEGAN TO TELL US THAT IT IS OUR FAULT THAT WE DIDN'T PUT THE BED TOGETHER CORRECTLY AND IT IS A FLOOR MODEL DISPLAY I BOUGHT. I COMPLETELY AGREED WITH HIM BUT ADVISED HIM THAT THEY BLIND SIDEDLY SOLD US A DAMAGED FURNITURE. HE STATED THAT HE WASN'T THE ONE TO SELL IT TO US SO IT WASN'T HIS FAULT. WE TOOK THE BED APART AND WENT TO THE STORE REQUESTING OUR MONEY BACK ONLY TO GET INTO ANOTHER DISPUTE. [redacted] THEN STATED HE HAS THE PIECES AT THE STORE AND WE SHOULD LEAVE THE BED FOR HIM TO FIX IT. I TOLD HIM NO WE ARE NIT DOING THAT BECAUSE WE LEFT THE PIECE THE DAY BEFORE AND THEY DID NOTHING BUT GLUED THE BED FRAME TOGETHER. I REQUESTED FOR MY REFUND AND TOLD [redacted] THAT I WAS UNSATIFIED WITH THE WAY HE HANDLED THE SITUATION. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO TALK TO MY HUSBAND INTO GETTING ANOTHER BED FROM HIS STORE AND WE PAY THE DIFFERENCE AND I SAID NO BECAUSE OF HIS DISHONESTY WHO KNOWS WHAT HE WILL SELL US NEXT. HE THEN TOLD US THE BED IS NOT HIS PROBLEM IT IS OURS AND IF I TAKE HIM TO COURT I WILL LOSE. AT THIS POINT HE PUT THE BED FRAME ON THE SIDE WALK OF HIS STORE AND STARTED TO CLOSE HIS STORE. WE CALLED THE COPS BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. NOW WE ARE SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR WITH A BROKEN MATTRESS FRAME.Desired Settlement: I AM REQUESTING A REFUND BECAUSE WE TRIED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WITHOUT ANY NEGATIVE DISPUTE ONLY TO HAVE [redacted] GLUE THIS PIECE TOGETHER AND THEN TELL US WE ARE NOT PUTTING THE BED FRAME CORRECTLY TOGETHER. THE WAY HE SPOKE TO US WAS AS IF WE WERE LACKING KNOWLEDGE IN HOW TO PUT A SIMPLE BED FRAME TOGETHER.
