Review: Had All Seasons Heating and Cooling to my home on 12-12-13 for a furnace inspection. Was told at the time there was rust spots on my heat exchanger and would have to be watched closely yearly. On Thursday January 16th carbon monoxide detectors started to go off in my house and the Hobart fire department was called. They came to my home and detected carbon monoxide coming from furnace. Called another heating company ([redacted]} who came out and noticed actual holes in my heat exchanger and replaced Heat exchanger and 4 secondary exchangers which were under warranty. Finally got a hold of [redacted] at All Seasons and told him what happened and at the least should not have to pay for a inspection which was not done properly. He proceeded to tell me his technician did noting wrong and recommened at the time a new furnace which is not necessary because heat exchanger were under warranty. I feel this company should be reprimanded for its shoddy workDesired Settlement: At very least refund of $73.85 for service call that was not done properly

Response:
In response to the complaint from Mr. [redacted], I have investigated the complaint
and found that the technician followed proper procedure and protocol. Technician wrote
on the invoice that the heat exchanger was rusty and potentially had hole(s) in it. He
informed the home owner the fun1:lcc had exceeded its life expectancy. It's not our
position. as a heating company. to make decisions for the home owner. We felt that
replacing the heat exchanger was just pulting on a "band aide" on what could be the
beginning of a much larger problem, such as replacing other major and expensive
components. which are not covered under warrantee. on the furnace.
In response to the request of Mr. [redacted] regarding a refund of the diagnostic fee for our
company servicing his furnace, he was informed that the heat exchangers were had and
the furnace bc replaced. That was our recommendation to the customer and it was his
decision to call another company.
I question. why the customer waited from December 2013 until the end of January 2014
to complain about his concern.
Thank you tor giving us the opportunity of responding to this complaint.
