Review: Business did not complete job specified. I had to make two extra phone calls demanding business to finish job. I provided business with survey yet business did not follow property line. Verbally abused cus[redacted]er stating the job was completed. Ultimately business did a partial completetion of said job. Cus[redacted]er had to do clean up and debris removal.

Response:

I am writing today in response to the complaint submitted on November 19'" with an assigned ID of[redacted]. The cus[redacted]er Ms. [redacted] on Fischer Drive, Burlington, WI relayed she experiencedcus[redacted]er service issues. I am personally responding to this complaint as the owner of the company whoassisted Ms. [redacted] as the salesperson and lead foreman for the job.On Saturday, November 7th, the client called me regarding a job at her home, we agreed on a mutuallyavailable time which was Sunday, November 8th• I visited her at her property on Sunday as shediscussed what work was needed for a fence installation that was occurring on Wednesday, November11th by a separate company.During our visit we walked the property as she discussed the removal of trees and brush toaccommodate the new fence. She also provided me a survey. She discussed removing some bushes onthe right and left side of her property. During our walk-through I suggested we only prune the bushes inthose two areas to provide privacy while still allowing the individuals installing the fence to have room. She agreed with this recommendation and requested I proceed with the job. After our walk-through of the property and the description of work to be done I provided her with aquote of $1200.00 with half down before I proceeded with the job. She agreed, paid the $600.00 andrequested the work be done as soon as possible to accommodate the fence installation. To meet herschedule requests I agreed to move work around to complete the work the next day, Monday,November 9thOn Monday, the 9th, I came with an employee to complete the job. As indicated during our walkthroughI removed trees, bushes and pruned up the left and right areas of the job. I also removed allsaid brush, trees and associated stumps from the removal. During the progress of the job, a neighborcame by to ask ifthe bushes on the left side ofthe property would be removed. I indicated they wouldonly be pruned up and shared with Ms. [redacted] the concern of the neighbor and what I relayed. After completion of the job Ms. [redacted] and I once again walked the property and I showed her thework I completed, what I hauled away and specifically talked about the pruning of the left and right sidethat came into question on the job earlier. I even hauled away additional brush that was in her yardthat was not from my job to assist her with beautifying her yard. She reviewed the work and verballyapproved the job and paid the remaining portion of the bill.On Monday night, November 9th I received a phone call from Ms. [redacted] who was upset. Sheproceeded to question why the bushes on the left and right side were not removed. I indicated that wewalked the property several times and I had provided recommendations for services for which sheapproved and paid for. I shared with her that the services we provided were what was bidded anddone. She still seemed very unhappy with the explanation. On Tuesday, November lO'h Ms. [redacted] called again very upset and crying demanding a full refund forthe services I provided stating I didn't complete her job. I reiterated that I completed what sheapproved and what was bidded however, with that said due to how upset she was I would certainly dowhat I could and come back if she so requested. Upon my suggestion to remove right side bushes sherequested I come back to remove them. (she did not want left removed). An hour after her call on November 10'h I appeared at Ms. [redacted]'s home to talk with her and rectifyany situation. When I arrived, I noticed she had already cut all six bushes down. I finished the removalalong with hauling out the brush, stumps and debris from the work done.During my visit Ms. [redacted] was working with her Dad on grading some dirt near where the fencewould be installed. She was very visibly upset they couldn't get the grade of the land the way theyneeded for the installation. They had a large amount of dirt they were trying to remove with a shovel. As I was there and had the correct machinery with me I offered to help grade the area she wasstruggling with. I spent about 30 minutes grading the area without a charge to her. After I was done with this visit I apologized for any miscommunications but reiterated that I answeredher calls and came back quickly to rectify any miscommunications she felt there were about the job. Iam a small business in a small town so I wanted to ensure that I made things right even though what sherequested was not what was originally bidded and paid for. We talked, I explained how I like to makecus[redacted]ers happy and at the time of this conversation she didn't seem upset or express any furtherdissatisfaction. In fact, we even gave each other a friendly hug before I departed.Approximately a week later I left a message on her voice mail at her place of business touching base.called asking if everything was ok, reiterating how I want to make sure she is happy with the job and toplease call me if any questions or concerns. I didn't hear a reply back from her.So, with this stated, I am disappointed at the outcome and the filing of this particular letter against myA+ standing with the Revdex.com I've withheld for almost 17 years. I had hoped with my return phone calls andreturning to the jobsite to do additional work requested that was not included in the bid would helprectify any miscommunications. I even provided additional work without charging to assist her.I hope this explanation helps keep me in good standing as I have receive many accolades for the workand cus[redacted]er service I have provided over the years. If you have any further questions about thisparticular event, I welcome you to call me at ###-###-#### to discuss.
