I have two regrets over choosing this over-priced, shady company. The first being the horrible service provided and the second being not being able to leave anything lower than one star, they do not deserve even that.

I decided to go with this "reputable" company after getting several, low ball, internet mover quotes and reading horror stories about how they give you a rock bottom quotes only to demand more money mid move or upon delivery. They were quoting $4000-$5000, Hemsted charged me $9600+. They tried to charge me for 60 days of storage even though their quote clearly said it was FREE and I was charged more than $2000 for packing/unpacking services. Their drivers dumped everything at my house and unpacked nothing. They didn't even put my furniture back together, because the guys who packed either lost or threw away the hardware to everything. The only thing I found were the screws to my dining room table, which was conveniently wrapped in tape in our cat's litter box. 4 bookshelves are missing all the shelves and hardware, my computer desk, and our bedroom dresser. They gouged all of our bedroom furniture, kicked a hole in our dresser, broke the shelves to our king bed, lost the stands for the mattress support slats, and broke my ps3 (not to mention lost the power cord to it). We also can't use the coffee tables cuz the glass tops and hardware are gone.

My lawnmower, bbq, fridge, litter box, trash can, vacuum, roller dolley to change the oil in my car, reclining couch, and sofa were broken.

Their crew had no idea what they were doing. At one point I had to tell them they were unloading stuff that didn't even belong to me. They were unloading furniture that belonged to someone in Oregon, so now I know where my missing stuff and hardware went.

It is almost the 9month max time for filing a claim and I cannot wait for these scammers anymore. I am filing a Revdex.com complaint and contacting my CC company. The long haul dispatcher "M.C." claimed what happened was shady and that he would fix it. Several emails, VMs, and months later and he...just like Hemsted...did not live up to his word. EVen looking at the claim paperwork he sent me they were trying to be shady. They checked off that I packed up the goods, when it was Hemsted who did. There is no denying that, they charged for it!

Avoid these guys like the plague. They will take your money and when you need them they will let you down and run for the hills.
