Complaint8 January 2015 I was notified by my property manager that my condo had water damage because the condo's sprinkler system above my unit frozen and burst. It caused major damage to my condo which is now unlivable. [redacted] the Owner/Property manager for the Condo HOA said she would keep all the owners updated on the claim process. I received an email on 8 April 2015 from [redacted] stating the insurance packet had come into their office and everyone would be receiving individual emails with the claim amounts. I tried to reach [redacted] several times since then and I haven't had any success. My property manger called her office today and he was told said she was BUSY. I emailed the claims representative for the claim and she said money had been paid out on 10 March 2015 & 21 April 2015 but I still haven't heard anything from [redacted]. . I was told by my property manager that her husband had the contract for maintenance on [redacted] and that she said he would be doing repairs. Isn't that a conflict of interest? Something just doesnt seem right.Desired SettlementI would like her to do her job in a timely manner. I had a renter staying in the condo and since she has to move out the mortgage still has to be paid. I would like the emails she promised. Business Response Documents that were requested were emailed to her 4/27/2015.Mortgaging securing company placed a notice and lock box on the door, inhibiting forward progress. We received notice today 5/13/2015 from owner about how to open and proceed.The relationship between the management company and the maintenance company as never been private. The Board of the Association hired the maintenance company years before the management company and the board requested them as the preferred vendor for association maintenance.When given the owner the opportunity to use a vendor of her choosing, she agreed to use vendors already in place.
