Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:With all due respect to Ms***, I believe there are a multitude of misrepresentations in her statementFirst, let me clearly layout my goal for filing this complaint While I had little to no hope of ever receiving any type of refund, my intent was to hold this company responsible for its blatant misrepresentation of the product they were offering through their websiteMs [redacted] is correct in saying that we generally do not rent condo's but based on the website photo's representing the room type we booked, we believed that it was certainly a good option for usUpon entering our room we realized that a type of bait and switch had occurred and we immediately notified the front desk of our displeasureWhen speaking with Ms***, she was extraordinarily forthcomingShe understood our displeasure and went on to explain that the property was over years old and many units were never updatedThis was the circumstance with the unit we were assigned to She also expressed her frustration with having to constantly deal with unhappy guests due to this issueMs [redacted] further explained that due to Sundance she was very limited in what she could do to helpThere was only one other room available and according to her, as bad as the one we were assigned so she felt it would be a waste of time to show usShe did offer to move us to another hotel for a $1,additional charge (she neglected to mention this in her answer)We declined, not wanting to throw good money after badI asked if we could get a partial refund or even a creditshe said that was impossible and there was nothing more she could doI am in possession of multiple photographs showing how the room type is depicted on their website vswhat we actually receivedI would be happy to forward if you let me know the best way to get these to youSo, to Ms***'s point that I admitted to this being my fault, she is correctI clearly made this purchase based on the fact that I would get what was representso, yes, I was defrauded and it is my faultWhile Ms [redacted] was personally apologetic and understanding, I only wish that the company she represents was as honest as she isIn filing this complaint, one would have thought that an honest company would have at least apologized for our displeasure and/ or offered some accommodation to make the customer happyNothing like this was forthcoming which leads me to believe that this is just the way they do businessHow sadI have already written off these funds as lostSo, let me reiterate, my goal today is to have you find this business guilty of misrepresentation and have that show against their ratingAs an honest business owner myself, that's the least I can do for the unsuspecting consumers that come after me.Sincerely, [redacted]

told me that they normally stay at star ski-in/ski-out properties, but he said he had decided to try something differentHis wife was obviously not pleased by the idea. They called almost immediately from the roomThey were in a deluxe studio loft, which was exactly what they bookedI offered them a standard one bedroom in the main building and they declinedI then offered them a deluxe bedroom spa unit at Caledonian, our nicest Old Town property, ski-in/ski-out to the Town Lift, and they again declinedMrs*** refused to even go with me to look at it.Mr*** booked a room at ***, said "Happy wife, happy life", and leftHe was fully aware that there was no refundHe clearly admitted that it was his fault for trying something differentHe was so obviously aware of his mistake, and so pleasant about it, I am surprised to see him disputing chargesYou can verify this information in the Notes that I entered into the reservation on that day.If you need any additional information, please don't hesitate to contact me.Merrianne ***Hotel ManagerThe Lodge at The Mountain VillageLowell Ave / PC, UT 84060phone: ###-###-#### Ext***allseasonsresortlodging.com

I am rejecting this response because:With all due respect to Ms. [redacted], I believe there are a multitude of misrepresentations in her statement. First, let me clearly layout my goal for filing this complaint.  While I had little to no hope of ever receiving any type of refund, my intent was to hold this company responsible for its blatant misrepresentation of the product they were offering through their website.1. Ms [redacted] is correct in saying that we generally do not rent condo's but based on the website photo's representing the room type we booked, we believed that it was certainly a good option for us.2. Upon entering our room we realized that a type of bait and switch had occurred and we immediately notified the front desk of our displeasure3. When speaking with Ms. [redacted], she was extraordinarily forthcoming. She understood our displeasure and went on to explain that the property was over 40 years old and many units were never updated. This was the circumstance with the unit we were assigned to.  She also expressed her frustration with having to constantly deal with unhappy guests due to this issue.4. Ms. [redacted] further explained that due to Sundance she was very limited in what she could do to help. There was only one other room available and according to her, as bad as the one we were assigned so she felt it would be a waste of time to show us.5. She did offer to move us to another hotel for a $1,000 additional charge (she neglected to mention this in her answer). We declined, not wanting to throw good money after bad.6. I asked if we could get a partial refund or even a credit. she said that was impossible and there was nothing more she could do.7. I am in possession of multiple photographs showing how the room type is depicted on their website vs. what we actually received. I would be happy to forward if you let me know the best way to get these to you.8. So, to Ms. [redacted]'s point that I admitted to this being my fault, she is correct. I clearly made this purchase based on the fact that I would get what was represent. so, yes, I was defrauded and it is my fault.9. While Ms. [redacted] was personally apologetic and understanding, I only wish that the company she represents was as honest as she is. 10. In filing this complaint, one would have thought that an honest company would have at least apologized for our displeasure and/ or offered some accommodation to make the customer happy. Nothing like this was forthcoming which leads me to believe that this is just the way they do business. How sad.11. I have already written off these funds as lost. So, let me reiterate, my goal today is to have you find this business guilty of misrepresentation and have that show against their rating. As an honest business owner myself, that's the least I can do for the unsuspecting consumers that come after me.Sincerely,
