Steer clear of Larry, he cussed me out up and down for daring to be disappointed in his progress. He begged my wife for more money (which she gave him because she was creeped out), then proceeded to call me things like m
n, p***y, f
*t and a whiner, it was weird and surreal to have a grown man yell and scream like that. He was kicked off the job after that. He claims he will file a lien, but he hasn't even come close to completing the job, and quite frankly will not be stepping foot in my house again.
Mr. P is being sued for nonpayment and damages plus costs. After reading this it is quite clear Mr. P has issues that go far beyond this job. He threw us off when we showed up to do the first of the final 2 skim coats of drywall compound on his archway. We had until that time met all our contractual obligations. That work consisted of 2 trips and about 4 hours total to finish with $600 owing. I believe he thinks his actions justify the nonpayment or very likely it was a premeditated act to try and get out of payment. Either way, he will be served a subpoena next week to appear in court for a nonpayment lawsuit It is unfortunate in the running and operating a small business that we owners have encounters with individuals such as Mr. P. However as annoying. yet sometimes humorous in its own right, its part of doing business and really no big deal That's what lawyers are for
I wish Larry was telling the truth here, but there is way more than 4 hours of labor remaining. 3 corners have not even been taped, there is a section that needs to be filled in with drywall and mud, corner bead, and tape remain exposed. This doesn't even include re-fastening the trim and cleaning up all the mud that was slopped on the floor. Larry would have spent another week at my house easily. Thank you Revdex.com for this platform, there are so many fabricated review sites out there, we consumers rely on your credibility. FYI, do background checks on your contractors before letting them step foot in your home, it would have given me a good indication of who Larry D really is. As stated above Mr *** was sued and his property was liened. He postponed the first
meeting with arbitrators and the second was a predictable outcome of no settlement. The trail was held in Akron Municipal Small Claims court on 11/18/2019 The defendant was ruled against for the full amount of the contract balance as well as court costs. Again it is difficult to deal with this type of delusional individual , but anyone who thinks the threats of slanderous bad reviews will stop a honest reputable business from both defending their reputation and collecting their rightful payment needs to understand the courts are far more powerful than a keyboard warrior.Maybe Mr *** will learn this lesson
Congratulations Larry, you finally won a lawsuit, and all it took was suing someone for an unfinished job! The strange rantings you've displayed here for potential customers to see more than make up for the $500. Luckily, the project was completed by a competent and courteous crew, and I'll chalk this up to 'lesson learned'.
As any one that reads this understands ,except you ,that when you lose a lawsuit that means your at fault. No ifs or buts about it, just 3 pages of a judgement and all 3 pages against you. I think anyone that reads this also will understand that I didn't care if it was a dollar, it's the fact your an insulting liar You thought you could throw your tantrum, leave libelous reviews, and get out of the contract without paying. You didn't think a company would come after you. Well I did and correctly so I won. Maybe that's what you should chalk up to lesson learned. Now on to phase 2 of this adventure, another lesson you need to learn about what you publish.
