I am rejecting this response because:The issue with this service was that the job performed was unacceptable and dangerousI'm not sure if it's standard practice to clean a window gasket full of glass pieces onto customers drivewaysI believe the safe way to do this would be to clean it into a trash receptacle or sweep up your mess when you're doneLeaving glass on the driveway is dangerous to me, my family, animals and children walking byAlso I couldn't dive my vehicles on the driveway eitherI have pictures if you wish to seeI did have to use the driveway before they were able to return at their convince to clean the drivewaySo I had to clean up the mess which took a while I also only asked for a small refund of $30, not a total refundI think this is very acceptable and fair given the circumstances.

Review: On June 11, 2013, All-Star Auto Glass replaced the windshield in my 2002 Mustang. In doing so, they broke a trim piece called the Cal vent Grill. It was noted by the installer on the invoice to be replaced under warranty. Assuming the company was credible, we paid the bill.

First call was placed to All-Star on June 12, 2012. Spoke with [redacted] at 5:40pm to make arrangements to have the part replaced. She said the part was ordered and would take approximately 2 weeks to deliver. After 3 weeks, I called again. [redacted] said the part was on back order and she didn't know when it would be in. Over the next several months, I repeatedly called for an update and [redacted] continued to tell me the part was on back order. Finally, I found out myself that the part was in stock. I called and insisted that they replace the Cal vent grill.

Finally, they agreed and the part arrived. They called and scheduled to install on a Saturday in February 2013. Said they would call first. Never called, never showed.

Then they called one Friday morning after that and said we are in the area, but the car was at work and not available.

Finally, they scheduled and showed up on Saturday, March 9, 2013. The installer [redacted] unpackaged the new Cal vent grill and noticed it was broken out of the box. Called the shop and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] said he would have to talk to the owner [redacted] on Monday, and that he didn't have the authority to do anything.

Monday came and went. No call from [redacted]. I finally called this morning, Tuesday March 19, 2013 (now 9 months later) and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] says he did not order a new one. Already spent $200 on the one that he delivered broken. Claims he never saw the broken piece and has no intention of replacing it.

I have a written invoice from the installer noting the "corner of the Cal vent broke: will be replaced under warranty."

I explained to [redacted] that I would escalate to the proper authorities. He said go ahead and do what I need to. He said "I don't believe you." I was shocked.

Owners like this should not be allowed to operate in our great Common Wealth of **.

Please help. I have the receipt in hand stating they broke the piece during installation.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Either replace the Cal vent grill with new, or, pay the Ford dealer directly to perform the work.

Review: Company performed a windshield replacement on my vehicle. After completion of the job damage to hood of vehicle near repair site was noticed. I contacted the company who sent out a representative. I was told the damage was not a result of their performing the repair and that they would not be responsible for it. The damage was not there prior to the work and its proximity to the repair site leads me to believe that they in fact incurred the damage and should be responsible for repairs.Desired Settlement: Company to pay for repairs of the damage to the hood of the vehicle.

Response:

Per our phone conversation earlier today (6-5-2014) I submit this communication for consideration in reopening my complaint. Before I filed the initial complaint All Star Auto Glass was contacted and sent a representative to check the damage. He said there was no way they could have caused the damage during the repair and said there was nothing they could do about it. I then filed the complaint with your organization. After the complaint [redacted] from the company called and said I had to bring the vehicle in so they could check the damage. I told her that someone had already checked the damage and denied any liability. [redacted] said to bring it in so the boss" could see it. 3 different times I made arrangements to meet the boss. Each and every time when I called to make sure he was there I was told a different excuse on why he was not there. On 5-21-2014 | contacted [redacted] again to try to have the damage seen by the boss. She asked if I could bring it in that morning. I said I could within an hour (that was at , She said hold on a minute, I'll check with the boss.". I stayed on the line for 10 minutes and she never came back on so I hung up assuming this was just another way to avoid the issue. She also never called me back to confirm he would be there. Over 1 hour later [redacted] called and asked why I didn't come in. I told her she had put me on hold to check with the boss" about my coming in. I added that I was 30 minutes away and would leave now. She said He left. He had things to do" I told her I was tired of being jerked around and that I would just follow up with the Revdex.com. Later that day a man named [redacted] called and said if I would get the truck in there the following week he would personally make sure he was there to follow up. I told him I had already passed up opportunities to work at my job 3 times to bring the truck in and every time I had lost money only to be told I would have to reschedule to accommodate the bosss" availability. I also told him I would give them 1 more chance to address the issue before following up with the Revdex.com. If he would name a day and time for the truck to be brought in I would make sure it was there even if I had to have somebody else bring it in due to my working. He said he would get back to me the next week with a day and time he would be there even if the boss was not. On Thursday 5/29/2014 at 320pm [redacted] called me and said if I had the truck there Friday 5/30/2014 between 8 and 10am my issue would be addressed. I told her it would be there. I was on call for my job for and was contacted for work in Philadelphia, PA that required be there at . My brother in law [redacted]. agreed to take the truck in for me. At 730am 5/30/2014 he left my residence and took the truck in to the companys shop at [redacted], PA. Before he left | pointed out the damage on the hood that was the reason for the Complaint. Later that day Italked to my brother in law and asked what happened at the shop. He said he pointed out the damage and was told that it could not have been done by them during the installation of the windshield. He also told me the person assessing the damage questioned why I had not brought the truck in and was told that I was called into work. Having not heard from All Star called them at 320pm and got an answering machine and I left a message to return my call. As had not received a return call from All Star I called them at 1240pm on Monday 6/2/2014. Again got an answering machine and left another message. Later that day a man identifying himself as [redacted] Called me and said that I had to bring the truck in yet again to point out the damage I had alleged. He then said The guy that brought it in didn't see anything either. I said the guy that brought it in knew where the damage was and the gouge in the paint near the windshield would be impossible to miss. [redacted] replied We couldn't have done that. I said That's fine, Ill let the Revdex.com follow up on my complaint" and hung up.Attached are 4 pictures of the damage for your review that I submit as evidence of my claim. It was not there before the installation of the windshield and appears to be fresh damage. The pictures also show the damage is less than 5 inches from the bottom of the windshield on the drivers side which is where All Star performed the work. Please advise me when a determination is made regarding reopening my complaint. I can also beContacted via phone at ###-###-#### if there are any questions or comments. Thank you for your time in assisting me with this complaint.
