All Star Auto Sales Reviews (4)

I purchased a 2006 chevy Silverado on 11-30-13, and have driven the vehicle less than 5000 miles and experienced 2 transmission failures, a power steering pump failure, a front-end alignment, and had to replace the wheels and tires as a result of cracks and other damage that was not immediately apparent during the initial test drive. all of which havetotaled more than $6000. this vehicle should have been far more reliable for me, as a single parent, and my only source of transportation, especially considering the more than $23,0000 price. ALL STAR AUTO SALES CLAIMS IN THEIR AD([redacted]), that they "ARE THE HOME OF THE ONE-YEAR,FREE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY". AFTER HAVING MY VEHICLE RETURNED TO THEM IN JUNE 2014 FOR THE FIRST TRANSMISSION FAILURE, THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR 4 DAYS,CLAIMING THAT THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM, WHICH THEY DID NOT, AND THE VEHICLE SUFFERED A CATASTROPHIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE LESS THAN 45 DAYS LATER. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A REPUTABLE TRANSMISSION SHOP, AND HAD A PROFESSIONAL REBUILD DONE AT A COST TO ME OF $2500. WHEN ASKING ALL STAR AUTO SALES TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE WITH THE WARRANTY THEY OFFER, THEY BASICALLY BLEW ME OFF, SAYING THEY HAD ALREADY FIXED IT ONCE. THEY LEFT ME FEELING HARRASSED AND INTIMIDATED. I ALSO HAD TO RENTA CAR TWICE TO KEEP GOING TO WORK AT AN EXPENSE TO ME OF $300. I HAVE RECIEPTS AND PHOTOS OF THE WORK, AND THE PHYSICAL PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED.Desired SettlementI WOULD LIKE ALL STAR AUTO SALES TO REPAY ME FOR MY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSEOF $2500 FOR THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THAT'S ALL. SHOULD THEY REFUSE, THEN I WILL BE FORCED TO PURSUE THIS ACTION IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT, WHERE AS I WILL BE FURTHER SEEKING DAMAGES COVERING ALL OF THE REPAIRS I HAVE MADE ON THE TRUCK IN THE LAST 11 MONTHS($6000).Business Response This customer did purchase a vehicle from our business on 11/30/2013. As the customer stated he did bring the truck in for service on the transmission in June 2014 at which time repairs were made and the vehicle was running fine. The customer then came into the dealership at the beginning of November and gave us a invoice for the transmission that he had repair himself. We do have a 12 month 12,000 warranty that goes with this vehicle that was purchased. However, with this warranty protocol must be followed for the coverage to be effective which this customer did not follow. The warranty clearly states that if repairs are needed to the vehicle and you live within 40 miles of the dealership where you purchased the car, you must return it to the dealership for repairs. At which time a adjuster from the warranty company will examine the car for repairs and approve or deny the claim. If you live outside the 40 miles, you must first contact the warranty group to file a claim at which time they would instruct you as to where to take your vehicle for repairs and the same protocol would have to be followed with a adjuster examining your vehicle prior to any repairs being authorized. This customer lives within 40 miles of the dealership and did not contact us prior to any repairs being performed on the vehicle. Since the proper steps were not followed for this repair and we did not inspect it prior to the repairs being performed we can not issue any refund to this customer for the repairs he made to the vehicle.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)THE DELARSHIP WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE, AND THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ALREADY FIXED ONCE,IMPLYING THAT THEY WOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THEY ALLOWED NON-ASE CERTIFIEDMECHANICS TO "FIX" THE TRANSMISSION IN JUNE 2014, JUST ENOUGH TO GET IT TO THE END OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THE VEHICLE FAILED IT'S TRANSMISSION TWICE IN LESS THAN 5000 MILES. THE WARRANTY IS STILL GOOD UNTIL 11/30/14. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A REPUTABLE SHOP,HAD THE TRANSMISSION FIXED PROPERLY, AND PRESENTED HIM WITH THE RECIEPT FOR COMPENSATION.HE REFUSED TO COMPENSATE ME, AGAIN BLOWING ME OFF.HE HAS COST ME ADDITIONALLY MORE THAN $400 IN RENTAL CAR USE, BECAUSE HE'S TO MUCH OF A CHEAP SKATE TO SELL QUALITY, RELIABLE VEHICLES.THIS IS MY ONLY SOURCE OF TRANSPORTATION, AND PAID ,MORE THAN $23000 FOR IT! HIS WARRANTY IS BOGUS, AND AT NO TIME DID I ACKNOWLEDGE IN WRITTING THAT I HAD TO HAVE HIM DO THE WORK TO THE VEHICLE. YOU CAN PICK UP ANY COPY OF THEIR ADVERTISEMENT IN "DEALS ON WHEELS",WHICH SAYS "HOME OF THE 12 MONTH 12000 MILE WARRANTY", WHICH BY LAW IS FALSE ADVERTISING, AS THE AD CLEARLY DOES NOT STATE THAT YOU HAVE TO ALLOW THEM TO FIX THE VEHICLE WHILE UNDER WARRANTY.I DEMAND TO BE COMPENSATED AT LEAST $2500 FOR THE COST OF THE TRANSMISSION, OR I WILL FILE LAWSUIT AFTER LAWSUIT AGAINST "ALL STAR AUTO SALES", UNTIL I AM PROPERLY COMPENSATED FOR THE LESS THAN QUALITY VEHICLE THAT I PURCHASED FROM THEM. I HAVE ALL OF THE DAMAGED PARTS FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WERE NOT PROPERLY REPLACED.(THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETLY RE-BUILT IN JUNE 2014 WHEN I FIRST RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THEM FOR REPAIRS) I ALSO HAVE PICTURES OF THE VEHICLE BEING REPAIRED WITH THE TRANSMISSION REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE.WE WOULD NOT BE WHERE WE ARE NOW, IF THEY HAD DONE THE JOB CORRECTLY IN JUNE 2014. THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS THAT THEY ARE LIABLE HERE. IF THIS GOES TO COURT IT WILL COST THEM A LOT MORE PLUS COURT COSTS, TIME, AND EFFORT. IT WOULD BE IN THEIR BEST INTERESTS TO SETTLE THIS IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

I bought a 2005 [redacted] sti from allstar auto sales in reno , NV that was a car ready to drive bought the car for $32,000 and the next week had to take it back because of a gas leak that it had. After I got in a car accident had the fron bumber and head lights dameged was like a $2,000 doller fix came out to a $18,000 doller fix because there was many things missing in the car and parts that werent even from that car. After talking to the repair shop that fixed my car said that the car wasent worth the money. I went back to delar ship try to fix things with the guy and he was never there and never returned my calls or messeges and I ended up lossing $20,000 dollers in that car and would just like to get some money back.Product_Or_Service: 12/23/13Desired SettlementI would like my money returned because of all the issuses I had with the car.Business Response Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2005 [redacted] Impreza from our dealership 12/23/13 and he paid $26,999 for this vehicle. We fixed his issue with the gas leak after it was purchased and there were no other issues with this vehicle. It was from the accident that the customer had that caused any further repairs to be performed on this vehicle and we are not at fault for this. There was nothing missing from this vehicle at the time he purchased it.

I purchase a vehicle from this dealer the salesman [redacted] assure me the vehicle was complete in top shape before I flew there when I got there few equipment was missing the navigation disc was not there he said I will mail u one its been three months no disc now he has been giving me the run around He has call his manager numerous messages have been left but no one have call me back. I need someone to help me receive my merchandise I'm entitle to. I paid cash for this vehicle.Product_Or_Service: 2005 hummer sutDesired SettlementI need the Navigation Cd mailed to me or reimburse the cost for me to get one its $250 dollars

I sold them my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. Everyone was polite, professional and friendly. The transaction took less than an hour. The price paid was very fair. The vehicle was in excellent condition. They even drove me home to Truckee after the sale was made. Nice gesture. I would do business again. ","pos-1
