Last year my vehicle broke down and I was in desperate need of a replacement vehicle. I had no down payment and very little credit because I had just turned 18 a few months prior to visiting this dealership. I had been told I was pre approved for a Nissan Altima and had went up there before work to complete all the paperwork. when I arrived there I was told that I could not purchase that vehicle, I was very upset but before leaving he had stopped me and told me about a car that will be arriving on lot in the next hour. I sat and waited for it to arrive, it was a Nissan Pathfinder 2001. I test drove it and was very happy that I qualified for it so I signed off and included the warranty that Shane was upselling so well. a couple months go by and I go to tag my vehicle, when I got to the DMV they had requested the title. it was my first vehicle to purchase so I didn't know what all I had needed but I never received a title. I contacted Shane at all star to see where it was and he informed me he sent it out a couple weeks after I bought the car. I never received it in the mail, after several weeks of being given the same story I got my father involved. When we went up to the dealership he tried to see where my title was and they had went to the file cabinet and pulled it out of there. ( It was never sent). Upon realizing it was never sent my father requested for him to pay my tickets and pay for the vehicle to be tagged, Shane refused and starting to blame me for not knowing I needed a title. My father was kicked off the lot and was told to tell me to come back to pick up my title at a time I was not with my father. Two days later I made the trip and picked it up. I was hoping I would not have to deal with Shane ever again, 5 months after purchasing the vehicle it started to have issues. $700 in repairs were made none of which did the Warranty cover. I decided to drop my warranty and trade my car in. I received a letter from the warranty company confirming that I had dropped my warranty and All Star Cars and Trucks would have my refund and to contact them. when I contacted Shane he kept repeating that I made a "Stupid Choice" and that I wouldn't see any of that money. I verified that my finance company would receive the refund and he told me I was correct "but again you wont see any of that money, its just peanuts". a couple weeks pass and my finance company still hadn't received the refund, my last couple of attempts to verify when Shane had sent the check he kept saying he would call/text me back later. none of those times did he actually get back to me. Today I called my finance company ( A MONTH AFTER MY WARRANTY WAS CANCELLED) and they still hadn't received anything and Shane wasn't answering their calls either. I texted him informing him I would be leaving a negative review on Revdex.com if I was not told the status of my refund. his reply was " I sent the check you [redacted]" he goes on to say " it is not my fault you have bad credit you [redacted]". this is no way to treat anybody, especially if you are a business owner. I would like for my refund to be sent to my finance company as well as proof that the money was sent. also would like to do my part to help everyone else understand what they are getting themselves into by dealing with All Star Cars and Trucks. thank you for nothing Shane.
