To whom it may be concerned this customer was explained to him exactly what the problem was with his TV he approved the estimate and we were supposed to collect $deposit like usual but he only had $we worked with him and said he could pay the rest when the unit was complete we then repaired
his TV to the exact problem he approved on the estimate the TV then was put on the test bench and test played for about hours as the tv was on the test bench test playing the board then through a short and blew out all the parts that we put on his board which was inside of his tv the reason why is cause his board had internal problems with it and would not take the rebuild, We were atempting to do to his board, so what actually needed to be done at this point was that he had to have a new board replaced because his board would not take the rebuild, understanding I could not tell his board could not take the rebuild until we attempted to rebuild it, like I said it worked for about hours then blew out the partsWe then called the manufacturer got the customer a price on a brand new board and called him and gave him the estimatehe became very irate over the telephone and started calling us rip off and also other names, he then said to return the TV to his house and he also wanted his hundred dollar deposit back unfortunately the hundred dollar deposit is an unrefundable deposit like our work order says which custHad signed, We take deposits in case situations like this ocour so we have to be paid for our time we have attempting to get it repaired unfortunately you just don't know if there is other problems in a television unless you fix the first one at times

Review: I selected this company, to repair a [redacted] Television. 6/14/2014 They diagnosed a faulty power supply, took the TV, brought it back in a couple of days, it worked one day and quit.

6/24/2014 They picked it up again, kept it till Aug 18, 2014 diagnosed a faulty power supply and transistor.

Brough it back, it lasted for two days and quit.

I called another company, the tv was diagnosed with a faulty inverter power board, and I was informed that the power supply was not replaced due to dust and filth on the power supply, and I was informed that the TV was probably being reset, and crossed fingers, it would not code out and quit operating.

I paid $275 in repairs to Allstar, which in fact did not repair the TV.

I paid a second company $250 for successful repairs.Desired Settlement: I request Allstar to refund the cost of parts. $210 Total

Review: My [redacted] TV had a power problem and I contacted Allstar Electronics. They came to my home and decided to take the TV to their shop for fixing. They brought back TV on jan 28, 2014. The power problem was fixed, but it damaged the DVI port connection that was not working. The people from Allstar Electronics said that it was due to the cold weather and I have to wait. I tried next day with two different blueray players and it did not work. I called the owner and informed again. The owner thinks that I am not doing the right way and he cautioned that it would cost lot of money if I am proved wrong. He later hung up on my call without completely listening. I called three times and left messages. Allstar Electronics did not reply toDesired Settlement: I would like Allstar Electronics to fix the problem.

Review: I contacted Allstar to repair a TV. When on site, they indicated it could be fixed and allowed them to take the TV. After 10 days, we contacted them, as we had heard nothing, and the work was not even started. After another week, we were informed another piece would be required at additional cost. Once the TV was returned to us 3 1/2 weeks later, it had the same issue. It took another week to have them pick up the TV, fix it again and return it. We are now 5 1/2 weeks out, the TV still does not work and the shop will not return my phone calls.Desired Settlement: Since they were unable to fix the TV, I would like refunded all monies paid to Allstar for nonperformance of contract.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: After over a month fixing the TV, the last think I am is satisfied. It took until contacting the Revdex.com for them to fix it properly, now I have an extra TV as I bought one to replace the one they could not fix.

Review: On 9/24/13 they came to our house to repair our television. After a few weeks we noticed the same problem reoccurring with our television. We have made at least 10 phone calls to get them to look at our tv and no return calls have been made. We paid them $212 to get our tv fixed initially and would like our money back. The repair person's name is [redacted].Desired Settlement: We just want our money back because the proper service was not provided and we wish to use a reputable business instead.

Review: This company claimed they could fix my TV. After 2 months the finally said that my TV was fixed. After my payment of $344 was collected and 3 months of operation the TV broke again only to be the same problem of 8 blinking lights with is a failed power supply which is what my TV went in for the first time. John from Allstar Electronics said it was under warranty from them and would come and fix it again. Another 2 months go by with "the part is on the way" , "the part is on back order", to "we can't fix it". At this point they wanted to keep my TV for a small disposal fee. I declined and said I want the TV back. They seems mad that I wanted my broken TV back. They offered to refund me my money minus the deposit of $100. A few days later I received my TV back with parts missing and the rear panel scratched very hard. It seemed from my viewpoint that they just threw it around and didn't care about the TV or me as a customer. As a result of the neglect for the TV and failure to fix the TV, which they had for almost 4 months, I called John. I expressed my concern for the damaged TV and missing screws (less than 20% were returned in TV) and he said that he was willing to refund my deposit as well. I thought this was good customer service practice and was promised a refund to sent out by August 1, 2014. I called back on the 13th of August only to find out that "they forgot" to mail it out. I have yet to receive the refund and have left messages for John to refund my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a Refund of the total amount of $344 with a tracking number for compliance.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I have yet to receive my $50.00 refund in the mail as of 1/13/2014. This has been going on since last summer. I have called many times to no avail. This so-called business does not keep there word & service was poor at best.

Regards,

Review: I had a tv that needed repair. They picked up the tv for repair. They indicated that the cost would $50 nominal fee. The total bill came to $170 ($50 nominal fee, $100 for repair, and $10 tax). My husband paid the entire bill (and I have the original contract stating that). They didn't contact me when the 2 weeks was up for repair and each time I contacted them they told me the part was on backorder. Finally, upon calling the again, about 6 weeks later, they said that they replaced the part and something else failed. I have a hard time believing that they even attempted to fix my tv. So they told me that they needed to refund me $70 (not $100 nor a refund of the tax on that $100) and that accounting does that at the end of each month. That would have been at the end of August. I contacted them the 2nd week of September and he said that he would tell his assistant to send that out. So it went from accounting to his assistant. It is hard for me to fathom that this is a large enough operation that would have an accounting department as well as an assistant. So now it is the end of September and I have yet to receive my refund. I contacted them and they have yet to call me back. This company needs to be taken out of business. When you call the phone number, they answer "TV repair shop" and the guy indicates that his name is Johnny.Desired Settlement: I personally think that I only owe them $50 plus tax, if applicable and that the remainder of my money should be refunded. I paid them a total of $170 up front for repairs I never received and doubt they even attempted. They wanted to trash my tv but I insisted they return it. I want the money they owe me.

Review: ALLSTAR ELECTRONICS is a private company which seems to be taking advantage of many people all across Pennsylvania. They run the same scam in [redacted] PA for sure where I found an identical TV repair ad with another dissatisfied customer and there are other dissatisfied customer reviews under [redacted]. All you have to do is a [redacted] search or [redacted] search and when an ALLSTAR ELECTRONICS pops up compare the ad information.

This is my current problem with ALLSTAR ELECTRONICS,...

Once you give them your money and they take your TV they do not answer or return your call,...when you call to check the status on your TV.

They've had my TV since the 1/27/2014 so since they wouldn't answer my phone calls I had to drive to the address on the receipt which is [redacted] PA [redacted]: This is not a business address,...it is a private home!

When I called the number on the receipt ###-###-#### and left a message of, "once you take people's money and TV you don't return calls and this isn't even a business address" a man by the name of [redacted] called me and said he still hasn't received the parts to wait on his call!

I also called the number ###-###-####, which pops up on Web searches under the company name ALLSTAR ELECTRONICS: A man did answer the call but when I told him what it was about he just hung up on me!

This business is not even within 30min of [redacted] where I live, so I don't know why it popped up on my search. All I was trying to do is give local businesses my support,...I didn't know this business ALLSTAR ELECTRONICS was out of [redacted] PA until I got the receipt.Desired Settlement: This company has been taking people's hard earned money and merchandise, and this behavior needs to be stopped but I'll settle for the return of my $150 dollars and my 47' [redacted] LCD TV.

Review: Two men came to my home to repair my television. I was given an estimate for $255.00 to repair it. They took my television and $100.00 deposit. A week later I received a call from a man named "[redacted]" who told me it would be an additional $200.00 to repair my television, equaling $455.00! After numerous phone calls without response my television was returned two weeks later by two different large men who refused to return my deposit. Further investigation concluded that no work was ever done on my television and that I am not the first victim of fraud by these men! These guys conned me out off $100.00 and would have gotten my television too if I hadn't threaten to involve the police!Desired Settlement: I want my $100.00 deposit refunded do to absolutely no work was done to my television.
