Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is not true statements at all I DID NOT ask the repair company that did the work on our unit this summer if they are seer unitsI found out they were not when I had to register the units myself, after I was told you (***) would take care of that for me at the time of installation in JanWhen I registered them with Goodman I saw the units were not seer, which is what you told us they were and what we paid forYou never said anything regarding the units being actually but by pairing them with the inside it would achieve seer In fact, you lead us to believe we had purchased seer units and we believed that is what we paid forEven our receipt shows units at seerinside and outsideI never said we had any problems with the unitsThat is not the issue at allAs of June when one of the units quit working they were 1/years oldAgain, we feel we were mislead and deceivedWe asked for seer units and that is what we paid for according to our receiptYou never said anything about them being seer units but paired together would give us the effect of seer units We will still pursue justice whether you are in business or notThis is not right, we want our money back for being deceivedWe can draw it out through the court system if that's what you would like to doAlso, you agreed to reimburse us for the repair to the unit this summer of $ We still have not received that check Regards, [redacted] ***

*** and *** *** purchased seer systems from my companyUpon contract signed we agreed on a price and installation dateThe job was completed and all correct codes were filedShe called in May of for the service contract that came with there purchaseI informed her that I had
fallen stories and broke my left footSo we agreed that she would have another HVAC contractor come out to do the service and I would cover the costAfter the service provider performed the service she asked him if they were seer units and he said no that they were only seerThey are judging this rating only by the tag that comes on the outside unit which does say 14-seerBut that is not the rating you go buy is the AHRI rating that comes from the manufacturer which is Goodman Distribution which I provided her with bothThese units are heat pumps and in heating mode they do not achieve seerThe system is based on a rating of which indoor is matched with the outside unitThe business has now been closed because due to bankruptcyThe units are still under warranty and I will honor the entire warranty but will not refund the price of the installThese units have been installed for over years and never have had a issueIt's just another case of another contractor who fully doesn't understand how the units get there ratings*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:  This is not true statements at all.  I DID NOT ask the repair company that did the work on our unit this summer if they are 16 seer units. I found out they were not when I had to register the units myself, after I was told you ([redacted]) would take care of that for me at the time of installation in Jan. 2016. When I registered them with Goodman I saw the units were not 16 seer, which is what you told us they were and what we paid for. You never said anything regarding the units being actually 14 but by pairing them with the inside it would achieve 16 seer.  In fact, you lead us to believe we had purchased 16 seer units and we believed that is what we paid for. Even our receipt shows 4 units at 16 seer. 2 inside and 2 outside. I never said we had any problems with the units. That is not the issue at all. As of June 2017 when one of the units quit working they were 1 1/2 years old. Again, we feel we were mislead and deceived. We asked for 16 seer units and that is what we paid for according to our receipt. You never said anything about them being 14 seer units but paired together would give us the effect of 16 seer units.  We will still pursue justice whether you are in business or not. This is not right, we want our money back for being deceived. We can draw it out through the court system if that's what you would like to do. Also, you agreed to reimburse us for the repair to the unit this summer of $125.00.  We still have not received that check.
