All Star Pipeline Plumbing Reviews (4)

Review: I was quoted a price and charged more than the quote. After three calls, I have not received an invoice describing the work or charges.

On June 4, 2013, I contacted All Star/Pipeline Plumbing and spoke with [redacted] regarding a non-hazardous gas leak at my rental property. On June 5, 2013, he went to the house to inspect the leak. He called me at that time to say that he had to do a pressure test to find out where the gas was leaking. He quoted me $300 for that work, which I refused to pay because their website was offering a coupon for $100 for a gas line inspection. He agreed to do it for $100. After he did this test, he called to tell me that he didn't find a leak with the pressure test, but his 'sniffer' detected gas near the valves on the water heater. At this time he told me that he didn't smell gas nor did he find anything with the pressure test. I agreed to having the valves replaced and a section of pipeline for $525. At that time [redacted] quoted me $625 for all the work and told me that he would send me an invoice via email that evening when he got back to the office. The next morning, June 6, 2013, I did not have an invoice in my email box. I called [redacted] and left a message asking that he please send me an invoice. On Friday June 7, 2013 I still did not have an invoice, but had a $775 pending charge on my credit card. I called the office number and spoke with [redacted] who told me that he too had been out to the job site to help. He explained that there was another part that needed replacing and that was what the additional charge was for. I asked why I wasn't contacted and [redacted] told me that I had told [redacted] that I would not be available which is true, however, I had said that thinking that I would not be available a the time he expected to be done with the work. Anyway, [redacted] claimed to have texted me (not true) as an attempt to get in touch with me. At that time, I insisted on a written invoice describing the work and charges. [redacted] promised one by the end of the day. On Monday June 10, 2013, I still had not received an invoice and my card had been charged. I called again and spoke with a different person (male, did not get his name). He told me 'they' were really busy and hadn't had time to send an invoice and to give him until the end of the day to get one out to me. I told him I would dispute the charges on my credit card if I did not receive an invoice by the end of the day. At 3pm June 10, 2013, I got a text from the tenant at the property saying that she had to get PG and E out there again because she smelled gas. I spoke with the PG and E guy and he said that he spend 1.5 hours clocking the meter and isolating the appliances. After those tests, he said that there was still a gas leak in the house line under the house, which was consistent with what the original problem was. PG and E had been to the house on May 22 because the tenant smelled gas. They told her it was a leak somewhere under the house and it was 'non hazardous' and we needed to call a plumber, which was why I called All Star/Pipeline Plumbing to begin with. So, I was charged more than my quote, never contacted for the extra part and charge, I have not gotten a written invoice describing the charges AND the problem wasn't fixed.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay for the parts they replaced, but not their time. I also want to ensure that others are wary of this company and their practices.

Review: We had All Star Pipeline Plumbing come to our residence and re-run the hot water line through the attic because the original one under the slab started leaking. The day after the job was finished, a part of our kitchen ceiling collapsed due to a leak from the newly installed water pipe because it was not installed properly. We asked them to come to restore it and all they did was replace the drywall with no paint which looked horrible. They said thats all they can do because they are not sheetrock professionals. My bathroom sink started leaking as well because they had to remove it to install the new pipe to my bathroom. They said its not their fault because the sink is deteriorating and that they are not going to fix or replace it. However, the sink was working fine before they removed it. These people are terribly selfish. They only care about the money they make and not about customer satisfaction. Not to mention while they were doing the repairs, they took an hour and a half to go and eat lunch.

Product_Or_Service: Re-running of new hot water pipeline

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Replacement

I want my kitchen ceiling and my bathroom sink to either be repaired or replaced professionally.

Review: On March 30 I had Pipeline Plumbing out to repair a gas lead. I had my brother at the address to meet the repairman. [redacted] the repairman told my brother that he did not need a permit to fit the problem. The city came out the next day and said that [redacted] needed a permit before doing the work. Moreover, the cit also said that the work was not up to code, and they were going to get in contact with the State of California Licence Board. My brother kept trying to make arrangements [redacted] to get back my 500 dollars. He kept putting him off. I spoke with Mr. [redacted] and said that if the money was not returned, I was going to take action. This complaint is one part of me taking action.

refund and damages, as well as tenants not having gas for many days.

Review: Vender gave a $5000 estimate he was given $2450 cash & $2380 was charged to my visa. The work is substandard and will cost me $3800 to repair his work

[redacted] verbalized that the job would be about $5000 He demanded $2450 up front. He would not give me a written contact. He refused to itemize his costs. He did not provide me with the services I requested. His work is substandard. The bathroom surround was installed incorrectly. No adhesive was used and is required. It is not secured to the studs correctly. the Vanity drain was installed incorrectly. No positive connection between drip down tube and trap. This could lead to bathroom flooding. Sheet rock installed is incorrect type. Should have a moisture resistant type. It will need to be removed and installation of the correct type of sheet rock will lead to the removal of the vanity cabinet, and surround wall which was not installed correctly. The toilet roll holder fell off. He did not obtain a building permit. His removal of the bathroom door was unconventional leading to damage of the door jam which will now need to be replaced. Due to the concealment of repairs to the main sewer line behind and under the bathtub I will not be able to assess the needed repair until after the new contractor does the above mentioned repairs. This plumber was non-compliant with use of proper materials and his work is clearly not professional. He currently is operating and performing this substandard work illegally as at the time of the work his license was suspended. It is now revoked. He refused to return any payment he received from me. He refused to haul off the construction trash. He removed the Ivy on the west side of the house without permission. He has not responded to the CSLB complaint I filed.Desired Settlement: He owes me $4830. It will cost me $3800 to repair his work.
