I received a call from home advisor that ms[redacted] needed some driveway work doneI sent an estimator out on4/27/our estimator (nephew Melvin ***) told her the driveway way in bad shape and should have it paved instead She said she didn't want to spend that kind of money , she only wanted it sealed and to try to do something with the bad cracksMy estimator told her he could seal the driveway but there wasn't a whole lot you could do with the cracks they were to big and gaping as shown in picturesShe said fine just do the best he could she was thinking of selling her house He told her $for the job, she she asked for a sample of what the product looked like so he gave her a sample on her drivewayShe said she liked it but offered him $My 20yr old salesman said she was such a sweet older lady he agreed to do the job for her for the$He said I'll write you up some paperwork and get started, she said go ahead and get started I'll do the paperwork when your done with the jobHe performed a beautiful job When he was done he knocked on the door and asked her how she liked it that's when the jeckle and mtHide scene startedShe said it looked fine He told her to make check payable to Amanda W [redacted] the owner, she said she would only make check out to all state asphalt and cconcreteMy estimator tryed to explain that we are a some proprietor business our account at the bank is not set up in company name they wouldn't allow us to cash it unless it was made out to me the ownerThat's when she said she would not sign anything or make a check out until she contacted the Revdex.com to see if it was OK to write the check out to the owner Amanda wells,and if thy said it was OK she would write the checkOur estimator told her it was fine then she could mail the check Then two days later we got the compliant on home advisory, she claimed we got sealer on concrete etc.which is ludicrous if u look at the job you can clearly see where it was sealed before and the sealer doesn't match upIf we did get sealer any where we should have got the chance to fix it before filing these rediculous complaints on our companyIf she would of called a gave us a chance I would have done everything in my power to stand by my work Instead she calls in all of these comaints to get a free jobWe are a small family business our name and ratings help us feed our childrenshe can have the job we don't want any money and may god bless her and her family but we don't want this ridiculous complaint on our good record for everyone to read its running our name in the ground for nothingThank you yours truley owner Amanda W [redacted] All state asphalt and concrete

Allstate Asphalt came out to seal & fill in some cracks in my driveways on April & 2, The work was okay, not great Grass started growing up through it just a couple weeks later I tried to get an invoice from them for the work they performed and was told they would bring it by the next day That didn't happen So I called 5/29, 6/10, 6/16, 6/& 6/ It is now November 9th & I still have no paperwork If you have them do any work for you, you better get the paperwork before you hand them a check Its impossible to get anything done afterwards

Review: We had our driveway done by this company. It was not done right at all. Very very thin, we paid extra for more rock. Within 2 months we had dirt patches, holes and cracks. We called company several times. Left many messages and so on. They kept saying when the weather was nice they would come fix. They never came. We had a one year agreement that if we had problems they would come fix. We paid $3000.00 for a crappy job.

We would never use them again or recommend to anyone. I have a cell phone bill of months of calls made to this companyDesired Settlement: I would like a refund if not at least half of the money back that we paid. We work very hard for our money. Not to throw it away. I would like to receive this refund in the next couple of weeks. We have waited to long. We don't want them to touch or property, nor step foot on it. This is not how a business is ran.

Review: I requested an estimate, by owners nephew. I was not given either estimate or contract in writing. I am a senior citizen, live alone , grandmother , widow, handicapped after a stroke with a heart condition; all of which allowed the salesman/ nephew worker/ to manipulate me into allowing the work. I was refused an estimate or contract in writing but was promised a good job. Cracks TO BE filled and asphalt sealed. Payment was demanded to be made to a private person not to company; before inspection of the work done. I felt intimidated , and manipulated so I refused . I told him to come back next day ,after I could inspect his work as well as check with Revdex.com and state license. He was hostile and threatening demanding a check be made out to a private person not to the business.

Next day After inspecting the job;

1. cracks were NOT filled . (i did not expect small cracks to be filled but the large cracks were supposed to be)

2. part of sealant was left completely unfinished/undone on the driveway in front of garbage area, approx 16 inches by 4 inches

3.black sealant over spray damaged the grass as well as front cement walkway.

Because I was vulnerable

I was badly taken advantage of .Desired Settlement: After inquiry VA state license board told me that not providing a written estimate or contract is against state license rules . I would expect disciplinary action by the license dept.

Although it will cost much more! than the original job quote to finish and repair the work not done correctly or left unfinished; I am only requesting that I not be billed for this job.

as well this company or any one from this company is not contact me in person or phone or internet ,

I feel threatened and stressed . It is a detriment for my health. I find this business to be unethical and untrustworthy

I will feel compeled for safety and health reasons contact the police should they do so .

Review: We saw this co. doing a drive way up the road and it looked good. They said they would be here that day and they graded all grass and gravel we had in the rain. I called him about lots of weeks about a month later and he said that's mother nature but I also see mud and dirt coming through. He told me it would be just like the road in front of our house after it set. We have used 2 or 3 large weed killer it not doing right. I think it needs a good coat of asphalt (hot). Its almost as bad as it was.Desired Settlement: Try to do it right and not in rain.

Review: The company representatives came to our house to advertise and solicit business for their paving company. Initially, we declined. They returned several other times. Eventually, we agreed to allow them to repair cracks and seal our paved driveway. We paid them and the check cleared within the hour they left. The driveway cracks weren't repaired and the sealing job left the driveway with very unattractive swirls in it. They also burnt the weeds around the driveway. I assume to help keep them out of the driveway but that was not mentioned before they started and in doing so they burnt the plastic cover that covers our several thousand dollar basketball goal. This is a 300.00 piece to replace and it is only a year old. I have called the owner several times just to get him to come and look at the damage and evaluate the job done on the driveway. He refuses to return my calls and now when I call, no one answers. I only get the answering machine. I am now asking to refund the price of the driveway seal job 300.00 and an additional 300.00 to fix my basketball goal.Desired Settlement: refund of 300.00 for the driveway and 300.00 to repair the basketball goal for a total of 600.00
