to whom it may concern we received a request for service on 04/27, the costumer had a broken spring on a 16X7 non insulated garage door.we arrived to the costumer's house within 30 minutes and gave her an estimate of 375$ for replacing both springs and labor. The costumer agreed with the estimate and... signed the receipt for approval (copy of the signed receipt is attached to this response). After the job was finished and the new springs were tuned correctly the costumer checked it several times and was satisfied with the results. The costumer put her initials for the card payment and put her signature on the receipt as approval for the transaction (copy of the transaction approval is attached to this response). An hour after tech left the costumer's residence, she called and said she was over charged and started to threaten in all sort of ways, I tried to explain her about the price and the job that was given but that did not seem to help with her anger.our company policy is no refunds on labor done, especially on springs that have been tuned and installed, our prices are pretty competitive for the prices in the market and I advised the costumer to check it by calling other companies.we are licensed and our technicians as well and I have no problem showing any document requested.sicerly***

I am rejecting this response because: That is not at allwhat happenedMy husband signed a blank screen for the and a clipboard. They gave us a small receipt that looks nothing like the one attachedTheyalso verbally threatened us when we called to ask about the chargeI was toldthere was nothing I could do, and I quote "good luck proving it." I was honestly shocked and appalled at the way they conducted themselvesTheywould not leave our home until we paid the and we were forced to sign forthatThat receipt he presented is false. Also, there was absolutely no amount on the screen thatmy husband signedThey did not tell us to go compare market prices, they werenot professional or politeThey were extremely aggressive and we paid theirservice fee just so they would leave, and that was under duress as far as I amconcernedMy husband tried once more last night to contact them*** stated he would give us a refund and gave my husband a number to call.My husband called and it was some voicemail serviceIt was a fake number, andwhen my husband called him back he would not answer his phoneTheir business practices are horrible to say the least. And what they are attempting is fraud

I am rejecting this response because:  On September 28, 2015, I called[redacted] [redacted] and requested a quote on the re-keying of two commercial locks and the replacement of a non-locking door lever with a locking door lever.  They sent out [redacted] from Eddie’s Door & Locks.  [redacted] quoted me $220.00 for the entire job.  I truly believe this was a case of the classic “bait & switch” ploy.  He quoted us one price then kept us waiting so long when he went to retrieve parts, that when he arrived so close to closing time, we would have no other option than to pay him more than half of the original quoted price of $220.00. Professionalism - the skill, good judgment, and polite behavior that is expected from a person who is trained to do a job well. In response to [redacted]’s final paragraph, whether you’re a new business, a small business or an established business, professionalism IS everything.  Being a locksmith for 5 years doesn’t automatically make you a professional.  Professionalism is dictated your actions, your attitude and your communication.  When these are not present in your work, you are unprofessional. Talking on your cell phone during the entire job – Unprofessional Leaving for extended periods of time – Unprofessional Not communicating with the customer until you give them a bill for over double the amount of the original quote – Unprofessional and considered false advertising using the “bait & switch” ruseBlaming the customer for your ineptitude is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. We are more than willing to pay the $137.60, the price of the new lever he claims was placed here, however, we are unwilling to pay for a service that we believe was less than subpar, so much so, that we had to bring in a true professional locksmith to fix and re-key the locks the way Eddie was supposed to have done when he came out.

Response:
To whom it may concern,
At September 28 my company , eddies door and locks, received a request to re key 2 commercial mortise cylinder and to replace a commercial lever entry on a storage.
I took the call and arrive at the location at 7200 fair oaks blvd and gave an estimate for the...

Rikey 65$ per lock and 85$ as my labor up to 4 locks (the price for rekey base on the gray of security the locks have, at this case it's gray 1 commercial mortise 6 pin).
Because I didn't Cary the commercial lever the costumer requested I told the costumer I rather check on the price before giving the estimate for the lever.
I than called my supplier and find out that the price of the lever after tax is 137.6$ and I told the costumer that my price with installation is 220$ and she said she want me to do the job, she also told me that I can come later on around 4pm is ok.
I arrive later on to the location to preform the job requested,I replaced the commercial lever and rekey ONE of the commercial mortise , I was than told that it becomes late and they need to leave. The costumer was assuming that the 220$ is the price for the total job including the re key.
I apologize for the mis understanding and gave them a discount and the total came out to be 395$.
The costumer agree and thank me for the discount.
Attached is the job receipt and the costumer agreement to the charge provided.
We are doing our best to provide professional service at a compatible price, I'm sorry to hear that the costumer was not happy with the service provided but to dispute the charge (I steal have a137$ part installed at the location) and say all those stuff is ridiculous, unfortunately it's another case of a person/company that is trying there best to avoid the payment for the service THEY order.
For the record, I'm one of the owners and because we still small company at her first year, part of the description of my work is to answer costumer that needed service, it have nothing to do with my professionalism as a locksmith for over 5 years.
Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
