Review: My husband and I were contacted by phone from State Law Group and offered a modification on our mortgage for a few of 4500.00. Unknowingly we trusted these attorneys ( [redacted]) and as soon as our last payment was received we no longer heard from this company 6 months went by with no communication. We tried to contact them. Our bank tried to contact them. We never received our modification. They were crooks. They took advantage of our inexperience with this modification process and stole money we had borrowed. I contacted the California district Attorney's office and he said " The individuals I dealt with were not actual attorneys so I couldn't make a formal complaint with the Barr Association." I should contact Orange County small claims court. Little difficult from NY. I don't want this to happen to anyone elseDesired Settlement: Aside from refund , hope that this wont happen to another family
