Review: Allstate Moving full serv [redacted]

www.allstatemoving.net

1) As you can see by the below quote, my estimate was for $420. The driver showed up with a quote for $445 and an additional $50 for fuel charge. I was moving 6 miles down the road and deemed the $50 unexpected fee to be outrageous. The quote above did not mention anything related to this fee and when I called to discuss with someone on my move date on Saturday, the woman ([redacted]) informed me that she could make it $45 instead of $50 and I would have to file a complaint to receive the money back. Since this was the date of my move, it was hard to cancel the move at that time and find another company to assist therefore I was left with no choice but to pay the $45.

2) I hired 3 men to assist with the move yet only one of the men did anything. This forced me and my husband to do the bulk of the work. We broke down beds, carried things to the truck, and even assisted with wrapping while one the men sat and watched and the other took multiple smoke breaks. At one point during the move, we had to move the truck from the loading dock - this is a one man job yet all 3 had to stop standing around and smoking to assist.

3) By the time we got to my new place, I told the main mover how I thought they were moving very slow and that since I hired 3 men, that all 3 men should be working and he was very defensive. At this point he began yelling at me. I called to complain to your headquarters and left a voicemail, never to be returned.

4) After 5 1/2 hours the men were almost done and the main mover wanted payment. He did not have the correct contract (below) and would not agree to the $45 that I was provided on the phone on the day of. He would not unload the remaining items until I paid him in cash and he called someone on the phone that would not negotiate with me the items that had already been agreed to. Accordingly, I paid the man $500 in cash.

5) According to my contract below, my fee was $80 a hour ($90 less the $30 credit for 3 hours). Therefore, for 5 1/2 hours and $90 for travel, the fee would be $530. I paid a $100 deposit therefore my new charge should be $430, not $500. Since I wanted my items off the truck, I paid and he informed me that in order to receive a refund I would have to call.

6) Starting on Monday June 3, I called a total of 11 times and not once was able to speak to someone who could help me. I was put on hold for periods of longer than 5 minutes while the person I was suppose to speak to "stepped on another call." I received a call from someone who would patch me through to the person in charge yet again, he "stepped on another call." Today is now June 17 and I have yet to have anyone address my issues.

This type of service and then followed up customer service is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: see Attached document

Review: I moved my personal belongings with a moving coming and a section of my sectional couch was not there. I was told previously that I would be covered up $5000 dollars for insurance automatically when moving with the company. I attempted many times to settle the claim with the company but the manager of the claims department will not return my phone calls nor is able to tell me any information on where my goods are. He always was very rude and abrupt the one time I was able to contact him.Desired Settlement: I am asking for $1399 which is the pricebin which I paid for the missing item.

Review: All State Moving company moved my items from ** to ** in August/September of 2012. When the items were delivered, a number of items were destroyed, broken and/or rusted. I contacted them and I was asked to fill a claim form which I did and sent in October of 2012 attaching photos of the damaged items. I have made several calls and sent an email to the company. Most responses I have gotten from my calls are the supervisor is in a meeting and will get back to me.

I have spoken with him twice and he claims my claim has been passed on to a new company and they should have gotten back to me. Up till now, I have not heard from either AllState Moving or the said company.Desired Settlement: I would like AllState Moving Company to reimburse me for the items destroyed during the move.

Review: I contacted Allstate moving and storage company for my interstate move that was quickly approaching. I was referred to them by a friend of mine, so I assumed they would give me the same quality of service they gave her. On the day of my move, they came an hour and a half late. The inventoried all of my items and gave me a list of all of my items on the truck and a form to be signed by me and the manager that was present. They said my stuff would be delivered in 4 or 5 days. June 3rd was the pick up date. I called them Saturday June 7 to try and find out a day and time they would be arriving. Sabrina, one of the only two receptionist, said she spoke with a dispatcher and they said they would be delivering my items Monday June 10 between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. I was told I would receive a call that previous Sunday with the specific time they would be coming. I never received a call, nor would they answer any of my phone calls. Monday when my grandson came to help me move things in, I still had not heard anything from them. They answered the phone only when my grandson and his wife would call from different numbers. First we were told that the truck was in New Jersey and would be coming to me shortly after. That was 930 Am.I did not hear anything else until about 12 when the dispatcher called and said that they would have to add on $80 for fuel. I checked my contract and I had already been charged for fuel. My grandson called the office and they "waived the fuel fee". After that I could not get a hold of anyone else. No one would answer calls and I was beginning to think my items were stolen because I had no contact information for the drivers and could not seem to be able to speak with the company owner when I requested to to find out where my belongings were. I also looked at my contract and noticed that the manager who packed my items on to the truck never signed my contract. I finally got a hold of a manger named Ethan C[redacted] and he couldn't even give me specifics about where the truck was. I told him that they had promised me this day and they had all my belongings and I needed them that day. He then said no one should have given me a date for my items yet and his sales consultant who gave me that information didn't know anything about when the drivers normally deliver. Ethan finally gave me a time of 10 the movers would arrive, and I informed him that I live in a senior development , and that they didn't allow move ins after 4pm. I didn't have a choice so I agreed to the 10pm but was still told I would receive a call before the movers arrive. I waited and never received a phone call until about 10 pm that said they were 5 minutes away. They finally arrived and the driver and foreman informed us that they had not made any stops and they drove straight to us from Maryland. Everyone we had spoken to in the office was dishonest about the whereabouts of the truck. I was just happy my furniture finally came. As we were unloading my grandson and I noticed a few of my prices were broken and scratched. The mover told me to buy new pieces and I would be reimbursed but I do not think the company is willing to do so after this experience.Desired Settlement: I paid $1290 for the second half of the services. I paid half upfront when they loaded my items and the other half when they were unloading my items. They company was dishonest, disturbed my community because they were there until 1 am, and did not provide me with services I expected that comes with paying thousands. The latter half of my service was a nightmare. I would like a refund for the $1290 and for my damaged and scratched furniture.

Review: On 9 July 2014, [redacted] Moving & Storage aka Integrated Moving Systems -License no# DOT [redacted]. Phone number ###-###-#### brought my House Hold Goods (HHG) from Maryland to [redacted] TX. I had to pay in full which was $7,500.00 before the moving van unload my items. Upon emptying my section of the moving van, I told the driver and the 2 un-loaders that some major items are missing (Officer furniture - L shape desk, book case, China Closet, 3 foot rails for all three beds (king, queen and full), box spring, TV's etc. other item that in two or more crates. These are large items that can't be missed). The un-loaders said that he was told that there were 2 crates missing and he was told to go ahead and go. On 10 July, I called [redacted] Moving & Storage aka Integrated Moving Systems POC/Owner Ethan C[redacted] that major large items were missing and that I needed my stuff ASAP. He told me that he have moving vans that comes to the [redacted] area 4 times a week and that items would be delivered next week. As of today, August 8, 2014, tomorrow will be one month and I still have NOT received the remainder of my HHG. This is an enormous inconveniences and Ethan C[redacted] just say I have to wait and he will not make other arrangement for my items to come to [redacted], TX. Although he's been paid in full. I need my items now...not to mention I need to place a claim on the items that I have that are damage.Desired Settlement: I want the rest of all my items NOW that's still in Maryland. [redacted] Moving & Storage aka Integrated Moving Systems will make other arrangement to have all of my items delivered and compensated for my inconveniences plus an apology. In this order...delivery of items, compensated and an apology.
