Review: Company Billed for 4-5 days of a repair because the repair crew did not do a satisfactory job each time...The were clueless in how to fix the problem and each time I was not happy with their work they would charge again to come back and try to fix it.

The repair crew would ask if we were happy when the paint was still wet intentionally making us unable to tell that they still did not do a good job. When the company gave an invoice it was excessive and 50% more than the insurance company thought the job was worth.Desired Settlement: I want my ceiling fixed but have no confidence that the crew they sent is knowledgeable or capable of fixing it.

Dear Revdex.com regarding this letter from [redacted]!!They had called us out there for a leak through the ceiling. We had thought it was a broken pipe, our findings was the toilet over flowed. They indicated we had come out there 4? 5 ? times? This is about the days it takes to do sheet rock repair!!! you have to cut out the damaged sheet rock and let the area dry out for several days. Then you apply a coat of spackle and let it set for approxmaily 24 hours then after it dries you repeat this process 2? 3 ? times more wich comes out to 3? 4? days the final day you paint it. [redacted] had a question about a area and I informed them we would come over the next day after it dried. I was on another job and I had called to see how they(workers) were making out they said they had left and were done. I aks how everything had turned out [redacted] said it look very good! A lot better that they did a good job! I arrived on the job to look at it and to pick up the payment [redacted] had a different opinion, and sais he was not satisfied????????? looking at the other areas comparing to our work it looked good! The other areas that we did not work on had seems showing and nail pops. Indentations were the nails were also how can be question our work when the wall he put for his closets were 5.9 inches off???????? with 16 degree swells????? In additon after showing [redacted] our bill he said our bill was way off compared the insurance company that they ONLY!! PAID them $700.00 plus?? aprox $768.00 I was a little speachless because I spoke to [redacted] from the insurance company and he told me different that they received over $ 1,200.00 I didnt want to confront him then and there and make him feel akward? Or uncomfortable but I see this a lot! !!!!! there are a lot of home owners who want to keep some of the proceeds from the insurance company that are to be paid to the contractor!!! for services renderd and did not want to ask him why he lied?? later on [redacted] after speaking to her advised me they did get more!! but for [redacted] to tell me several times that they only got a little over $700.00 and repeadly tell me our prices were way off was disturbing!! it sent up red flags!!! then [redacted] informed me that they would contact us and give us the balance after they purchased the lights. This never happened!! another lie!!!! they also indicated about he also indicated the fixtures were left hanging?? we are not electricians!! we do not do electric work and it was not on our invoice!! this another phase of the job!! and as far as questioning our price we were contacted by hartford and they said they would pay the bill!!! and that it needed to be more itemized we had submitted the bill upon there request to break it down more! After the board examaned the bill they said it is in line with the going rate!! and informed us that they informed me and [redacted] that the balance is to be sent to the contractor us!! allstate plumbing!! in additon if they or I mean [redacted] had any problem why would he pay us at all?? or anything??? or why in addtion would he fcsll us after they bought the fixtures. They would contact us and give us the remaining balance?? wich never ever happened!!! and in addition he screens our calls!! how can we ever possibly correct the sooooooooooooooooo called dissatisfied work if they or I mean he never returns our calls I call from a different number and he answers!!! so as you can see from my experience is that he more than likely want ed to keep some of the insurance money because he continueed to tell me that they only sent approxamately $768.00 ?? so that was a lie!!!!!!then tell us that they would call us back after they purchased the fixtures?? that was a lie!!!! they never called us back!!! and then never return our calls?? but when we call from a different number they answer?? like I said how can we back up our sooooooooo called dissatisfied work when they never call us back like they said a few times?? or never return our calls?? they are totally ignoring us!!!!!!!!! this is a no brainer!!! and in additon he says any one who wishes to see our job is welcome? He should also welcome any one to see his job with the walls off 5.9 inches and the walls off at 16 degrees look at the big picture!! a nine year old can figure this out!! he continously lies about the amount of what the insurance comapany sent!!!!!!!!! and then lies on a few occassions of calling back for us to pick up the balance and never does!!!!!!!! then totally ignores us!!! never returns our calls!! I cant believe he has the odasity to completely lie!!! in my face!!!!! and never return our calls!! my conclusion he wants to keep the money!! [redacted] seems like a sweet heart!! very nice person and she informed me dont worry about him( [redacted]!) and to find he contacted Revdex.com??? you have to be kidding!! we also have 3 witnesses saying that he repeatdly said the work is satisfactory!!! and looks good!!!! we also advised our attorney we are considering filing for slander and possible insurance fraud under the ACT!!!! that he is missusing the funds from the insurance comapany!! again why would he lie about only getting $768.00?? when he got a lot more than that?? and also why would he pay us anything if he was not satisfied at all?? and also why woul d he say he would call us after he purchased the fixtures and pay us the balance?? and not do so??????????? and say he would call us on a few occasion?? and not do so????? and then never return our calls??? and in addition!!!!!! completely ignore us!!!!!!!!!!!! I will tell you why from my experieance for the past 29 plus years!! and approxamatly 900 plus insurance claime I have done!! like a lot they want to keep some of the money!!

I am rejecting this response because:This person claims that we have received over $1200.00 dollars. This is not true, yes we did receive a check from the insurance company for $731.32 and we do have the paperwork to show the breakdown of said check. At no point and time did we say that we was not going to get paid. I think NOT! I even asked him if he was afraid that we wasn't going to get paid his response was oh, its not that. Then what was it!As far as the work goes.... yes I said that it looked good but that was before it dried after it dried we could see the ridges on the ceiling. We have not kept any proceeds from the insurance company the truth is that there is another check coming from the insurance company and it has not reached us yet. And if we have not contacted [redacted] its because his phone messages were more like a drama with no end to them. My husband and myself have never once spoken to him or made any comments about payments or otherwise, we simply have been waiting for the resolution from the insurance company. As far as his threat of filing slander and insurance fraud he should think this over very carefully I have saved every message he has left for us. If this guy from [redacted] had cooperated with the insurance company from the get go instead of procrastinating when they asked him for the itemized billed this would have been all resolved by now. But his impatience and attitude has kept him from moving forward. He has no one to blame but himself.
