All State Used Cars

Review: Searched for a used car on [redacted]. Needed a large car with a wide seat due to a medical condition erroding my hip joints and a trunk large enough to handle a wheel chair if necessary, so this is why I approached Allstate Used Cars for a '99 [redacted] with low miles. The car was clean and came as discussed, but after driving just a few miles to visit my father across the boarder in NJ. When restarting the vehicle the check engine light appeared along with the ABS warning light and Traction warning light. They would go off and on intermittently. The only thing that I know would cause something like this is if the computer was reset t not show any indicators until a certain milage had been reached to reset the computer diagnostics. Further, while the car was looked at, if the computer diagnostics had not reset with the required amount of driving, no further checks would be able to show anything. I reported the complaint the same day to the [redacted] Police Report #[redacted]Desired Settlement: I discussed the4 situation with the dealer and said I would take the car to a dealer with more knowledge about the issues. I am expecting payment for the repairs or money back as it may be that deceptive practices kept me from assessing the true condition of the car prior to sale.

I was not informed by the dealer about his accepting responsibility for the wheel bearing issue nor his costs. My call and text messages were not returned (cell ###-###-####). However, If he chooses to perform the work at a shop of his choosing, that will be acceptable plus the costs of gas and tolls to get the car there. Further, I also want to make certain the leak in the air conditioning system is also repaired and that the compressor is working properly. If all the repairs are done then the complaint will be resolved to my satisfaction.Regards,[redacted]
