All Storm Repair Reviews (1)

Review: In the month of July, 2011, I contracted with All Storm Repair to replace my roof after a hail storm. The quoted contract was to install a 50 year grade shingle. The invoice is for GAF - Armor Shield Shingles which is a 50 year grade shingle. I am not a construction expert so I certainly believed that All Storm installed the shingles that I had agreed to in the contract and which were invoiced and paid for by myself. Unfortunately, my house was hit with another hail storm this past summer of 2014. I told the insurance adjuster that I had 50 year shingles and he disagreed with me and provided me with pictures and measurements that validates the shingles were only 30 year grade shingles. I had estimates from 3 different contractors and they also ascertained to me that the current shingles were only 30 year shingles. I then e-mailed Allstorm at ([redacted]) and received a response back on July 3, 2014 that their records indicate that a GAF Timberline HD shingle was installed in 2011. This particula shingle falls in the 30 year grade of shingle as opposed to the Armor Shield which is a hail resistant shingle and falls in the 50 year grade.

So I sent an e-mail response that I had uncovered that I was invoiced for Armor Shield shingles and received HD shingles so whom should I speak to about restitution? I received a response that they would review their records and get back to me the following week. That response did not come and I e-mailed several times again requesting information about my concerns and did not receive any responses. I then called the company and asked to whom should I speak to in regards to a customer concern. They asked for my name and upon providing it; they hung up the phone. I then sent a certified letter to the address in this complaint on Sept 25, 2014 with copies of all of the applicable documents. The company did not sign for the letter on multiple delivery attempts and it was subsequently returned to me on October 17th.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is for All Storm to provide me with a refund for the following items:

1) $2,951.30 This is the cost difference between the 30 year grade and 50 year grade. This price difference is clearly stated on the Purchase Order contract with All Storm.

2) $1,000.00 This is the cost of my deductible for having to replace my roof again in 2014. If the 50 year shingles had been installed there would be no need for replacement.

3) $6.70 This is the cost of sending the certified letter to All Storm

The total restitution adds up to the sum of $3,958.00.
