We called All Tech Builders as we thought we had a mold issue in our atticWhen Rob came out, he told us that, that was not the problem but we could use more ventilation in the rafter areaHe suggested baffles between the insulationKnowing that we needed a new roof, we asked him to give us a priceWithin a week, we had a new roof on our home and garage and baffles positioned in the atticA+ workmanship! Afterwards, we noticed that one of our solatubes in our LR was loose, probably from the banging on the roofWe called Rob and he came out right away to fix it for usRob's knowledge, honesty, pricing and quality of work has made us followers for years to come We would recommend his company to everyone

We would highly recommend All Tech BuildersWe have used All Tech for numerous projects in two of our homes, ranging from mold remediation & dehumidification to complete basement and master bathroom remodelsFrom start to finish, Robert and his team are always professional, knowledgeable, and thorough with each and every aspect of the projectThey make sure everything is completed the right way the first time; they do not cut cornersWe have trusted All Tech since we first worked with them and will continue hiring them for any projects requiring the expertise we know Robert and his team possess

When we removed our deck to put in a paver patio in our backyard we needed some siding work done off of our sun room as the patio was going to be at ground level and the deck was raised We couldn't match the siding, but All Tech did a wonderful job of adding a white border to match the trim We were concerned that it would look strange having a wide white border, but we trusted All Tech's opinion that it would look OK And they were completely right !--highly recommend because of their superior craftsmanship

All Tech Builders did a very thorough job with both eliminating the mold in my attic as well as properly insulating and ventilating it to prevent it from coming back They did this work at a fair price, and I would recommend them for other homeowners in the area

All tech builders showed up on time, estimate was fair, and work was done ahead of schedule

All Tech Builders helped us remodel our kitchen after the upstairs toilet overflowed. Thetc handled every step of the process from tear-down to full build back. We highly recommend them for all your construction needs.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/01/19) */
Our contract between [redacted] & All Tech states "All Tile & Plumbing Fixtures to be supplied by Owner". Customer could of purchased any of these materials from any store. She purchased the tile for her foyer and bathroom on her own and...

brought it to the house. When it came time to get the kitchen tile she ended up going to The [redacted] to purchase tile. She saw the price and costs per sq.ft. on the shelf. She never ordered or paid for the materials that day either. I expected the tile to be at the house for our installers to put in the following week. There was no tile and it wasn't even ordered. I call to check status and The [redacted] said she came in, but never ordered it or paid for it. So I said just put it on our account call me when it comes in. A few days later they called me so I sent our employee with our truck to pick up the order. Customer was billed retail price which what was on the shelf. So much for "Tile Materials Supplied by Owner"
Job Delays? Customer needed to purchase a new sink and faucet for the job. She had no problem finding and purchasing a faucet. I recommended [redacted] Plumbing Supply as it was close to Wheeling not far from her house. They showed her a white under-mount sink she wanted with all the bells and whistles. The sales gal emailed me my cost for the sink and I showed the customer my actual cost on the sink. She said that was a lot of money for a sink. I told her she can go anywhere she wanted just get a sink that she liked to the jobsite. After her visiting every big box store and finding out they were 2-3 weeks out for a special order sink she asked me if I can get that one from [redacted]. 1 week later I had the sink. I put it on our account and even sent our employee to go pick it up and bring it to our granite guys in [redacted]. There was no job delays as to "Plumbing Fixtures Supplied by Owner" I'm not sure how the ball was dropped in my court again. Customer expected our costs on the materials in question. We never said you'll get our costs or discounts on any of the materials and they were to be purchased originally "by Owner" and brought to the job as stated in contract. When we have to go, purchase, pick-up & deliver items to a customer we charge for that service. We have to pay employees, fuel, other expenses and still make a little profit. Customer franticly ran back to these 2 stores and demanded she pay for the tile and sink on her credit card "which were already on our accounts" My vendors called me and I said just let her pay for the items as she was supposed to from the beginning.
There was a grout/tile issues on one of the tiles while they were drying on the floor and I told customer we can't do nothing while its drying not to disturb any of the other tiles. I said we'll fix it when the tile installer comes back to do the backsplash. well the customer never got the tile for the backsplash and just wanted the backsplash painted "maybe due to lack of funds". Customer wanted under cabinet lights re-install. We didn't have under cabinet lights in our contract and told her "it will be an extra" and I would have to get the electrician back out there to do it. She got mad. Started saying your nickel and diming me and whatever. She ordered the kitchen cabinets online. When they came in the microwave cabinet was to long so microwave would be to close to the stove. I told her we had a cabinet shop that will custom cut the cabinet to the right size. I wasn't even sure of the cost to cut down, but it had to be better than ordering a new cabinet and waiting 3-6 week. So I took the cabinet to [redacted] to drop it off at the shop. 1 week later it was ready for pick-up. The shop charged me 200.00 and I added 20.00 for my time and fuel each way. Not a big deal right? wrong. She was mad I added the 40.00 charge to fix a mistake she made when ordering the cabinets.
She had a foyer issue. We removed and replaced the tile as stated. New sub-floor & tile "which she purchased and delivered her self". We installed the tile right up to the metal plate which holds the main post in place as it should be in case you have to remove the post for what ever reason. The oak base shoe was reinstall as it was around the post. We didn't alter the plate or the shoe it was existing. Some people think when you touch something the contractor has to make it better than it was before, or touch one room and you have to fix the whole house. Well!
Well, supposedly she fired us after the foyer & kitchen projects were completed. She gave us a little punch list to do and we checked off each item or wrote done next to each of them. This might be the grammar corrections or comments we put on her list she mentions "not really sure".
She wanted all the names and phone numbers of our subcontractors and all our invoices. We don't give out that information. Privacy Act. She wanted the numbers so my guys can remodel her bathroom in which we were contracted to do along with the kitchen. We never did the bathroom, but she did buy all the tile for that before the kitchen project. The only invoice [redacted] needed to see was the one she signed with the project cost for the totality of the job plus any extras. If she was referring to the plumbing or tile invoices she did see my cost for the sink before we even purchased it for her at cost. The tile was a different story she did end up getting it at our cost and we lost money on the material, pick-up, delivery and a return we did for her.
This is the best read on!
We have a lock box we supply for every job. All our customers are wonderful people and love our company and the people that work here they trust us as if we we're family. Some people work and give us a key so we can get in the house in the morning. Well [redacted] gave us a key and we put the lock box on the back deck around the house in which the key opens the front door "in front of the house". It was Friday afternoon 3pm I met the plumber at the house to finish trimming out the sink, dishwasher and disposal. FYI "A representative from our company has always been present to let a subcontractor in and stay until work was completed or homeowner was home". Anyway when the plumber was completed we locked the front door and I put the key in lock box and placed it on the stoop by the door and continued to talk to the plumber about other jobs as we left. I get an email Sunday morning "We changed the locks on our house because the lock box wasn't on the back deck". I replied why didn't you just pick up the phone Friday or Saturday and ask me directly? or say "Hey [redacted] do you know where the lock box is? and I would of said yes it's by the front door." She wanted us to pay for the locksmith for re-keying the house.
At the end of the day we gave her a $300.00 credit just to get paid the balance and get away from people like this because all they want to do is look for credits, post bad reviews and try to slander our company to make themselves feel good. We've been around for almost 20 years. We've done thousands of projects from remodeling, new construction to commercial buildings. You'll always find 1 or 2 bad apples in a bunch even though we always bend over backwards for our customers.
You be the judge!

Robert and his team did a great job. The gave a detailed estimate for our basement remodel and finished the job early at the lowest price. Great work and great guys. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

We went to bed one night to a dry floor and woke up the next morning to a flood. Our water heater broke and water was everywhere. Called Robert about 6:30 am snd he was here before we knew it. We have dogs and he was concerned about contaminated water so after documenting the damage with pictures he took out carpeting, pengo flooring and pieces of drywall he thought whold cause mold. He contacted our insurance company with documentation so thorough that they did not send an adjuster. We decided to use Robert to repair the damage snd he and his staff were a delight to work with. We feel he went over and above to make sue we were happy with what we wanted to put back in before ordering. He was also helpful in making suggestions that made the end result outstanding. After we picked flooring and paint colors he was here when he said he would be and finished in s timely fashion.

Would we use him again, absolutely although we hope not to need him again to clean up after a flood

Customer never paid the balance of her basement water remediation project. She stated she was going to pay the balance once she received the insurance check from [redacted] Ins. I spoke to the [redacted] claim adjuster and he said they sent [redacted] the check. She decided to keep the insurance money...

and not pay all Tech for the services rendered. We now have and attorney working on our case. So far he has sent out a demand letter for [redacted] to pay. She has 30 days to respond to his letter.Once the 30 days are up we can proceed and file a motion in court.Sincerely,[redacted]All Tech Builders& Restoration Inc. Office: [redacted]

All Tech Builders did a great job with my basement finishing. I did a partial finish of my basement with entertainment area and bar. All Tech started the job sooner than I expected and finished faster than I expected. They were clean and professional. Robert was great to work with in terms of the estimate, changes as the project progressed and was always very responsive. If there was anything I wasn't happy with, they rectified it. I would definitely use All Tech Builders again.

All Tech Builders has completed many jobs for us. They started with a simple mold cleanup in a bathroom that we had some water damage in along with sealing some cracks in our basement that were letting in some water. The hydraulic cement patch they put around our sewage line needed to be re-worked which they came back and did an epoxy injection on for no additional charge which is typically a more expensive job. After that they did some blown in attic insulation and installed a new garage door for us and were willing to beat the best estimates we found for both. Then we had them remodel a full bath and a master bath. They did a professional job and made sure everything was done at or above code. The sub contractors that they used were also very dependable and did quality work.

The hardest part about finding a contractor is finding a dependable one and these guys always showed up when they said they would.

Robert violated a village ordinance . His pamphlet states he is knowledgable of required permits. Robert did not pull a permit for concrete stair replacement, so his work was not inspected before or during the preparation of the stairwell or during the pouring of the concrete. I called the village of wheeling, and found no permit had been pulled. His response was " why did you do that?" I did it because it's an ordinance !!i had him insta. A foyer and kitchen floor. The foyer floor til was not cut to accommodate the wood post trim. There is a 1/4 inch gap between the floor and the trim. In the kitchen, 29 out of 56 exposed tile edges are low . He refused to fix this issue.
He refused to show me any invoices for counters, a cabinet that needed to be sized, and installed the kitchen floor without telling me the cost.
In short, I fired him from completing the rest of the work in the kitchen and for future projects. I've never seen a release of lien document, and he refuses to respond to my emails . He also moved the lock box from our agreed location on the day I fired him. I rekeyed the door. Any notes I left were corrected for grammar, with sarcastic comments.
