All Terrain Construction Corp Reviews (6)

There were contracts entered into with the homeowner – one signed and one verbal (homeowner refused to sign 2ndcontract) The additional work was agreed upon by both parties after closer inspection during construction We felt comfortable enough with the homeowner to continue with the additional work on a handshake-basis (also, there was a time factor involved due to the tight timeline ready mix companies have) The additional work was recommended by All Terrain Construction in order to do the best job possible With the additional work, separate concrete deliveries were necessary (the ready mix company vehicles have a maximum load limit for safety reasons) The homeowner admitted to this verbal agreement in an email (email thread to follow via separate correspondence) We asked the homeowner to allow us to go to the site and address the issue of negative pitch mentioned in his email (see item #above), but he refused During construction, the homeowner made mention that he was surprised that the job was being completed so quickly and seemed unhappy about it We have made every effort to explain the cost of the additional work, as well remedy any issues - to no avail We have also tried to reach a reasonable resolution to this issue, but the homeowner now refuses to communicate with usInstead, he wishes to communicate through the Revdex.com [redacted] ***Sales ManagerAll Terrain Construction Co.###-###-####www.allterrainconstruction.com

I made a copy of Mr***’s response and would like to address each of themMy response will be inred.Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***,and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. We are willing to remedy any negative pitch issue that existsI offered (via email and voicemail) to personally go to the jobsite and check the pitchAny and all negative pitch will be remediedI never received a response and Mr*** has refused to communicate with us except through the Revdex.com.Regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
1. All Terrain has not offered any resolution to the issue. [redacted] has only continued to re-explain why I should pay more.2. All Terrain has not acknowledged the missing 4" base as described in the quote. [redacted] claims the surface was "great". Not a single reputable company would have poured concrete on dirt. Only properly prepared substrate should be used. 3. All Terrains own contract details no work to be completed without a written signed contract.4. There was not verbal agreement, I made clear my not being happy with both cost and lack of base... it is precisely why a phone call was made from [redacted] to [redacted] during the Job on Tuesday.5. Telling me to place a gutter diverter does not constitute offering to correct the pitch issue. Not sure why I would let All Terrain come back and rectify something they could not do correct in the first place.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]It appears we will go back and forth saying the same things over and over. I continue to hold my position that All Terrain is a disreputable company participating in both poor construction practices and offering misleading quotes. I continue my request to be compensated for the materials never received.

Review: All Terrains Contract was for 4 inches of base and 5 inches of concrete for the area viewed and visited by All Terrain. Upon arrival [redacted] Morgan immediately identified an area " he didn't expect so he wanted to add an 1/3 of the total driveway cost for something his estimator did not tell him about. Additionally, when preparing the driveway, All Terrain merely shoveled around the dirt that was under the previous driveway ( not adding actual concrete base ). When I questioned him on this he simply didn't agree and he could either leave or pour it as it was. Apparently [redacted] feels tamping down mud and decorative stone makes for a good concrete base.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to remove his request for an additional 1000.00 for "extra" work as well as reimburse me for what would be the cost of 4 inches of base for a 10 foot wide and 70 foot long driveway.
