Review: We applied to adopt a puppy, were approved and allowed to meet the puppy (part of ATPAR's rules is that you don't get to meet the dog until you've been approve). They came out and inspected my fence. They tried to get me to adopt two siblings but I only wanted one and was reassured that my decision would have no negative impact on my adoption. They strung me along for over a week and after several days of me asking what was going on and why they hadn't brought the puppy to me I receive an email (not even a phone call) telling me they had changed their minds and that the siblings had to be adopted together. In my opinion there was a verbal contract when I got the phone call telling me everything was ok to proceed with the one adoption. The assurances I was given about only wanting one puppy was an additional reinforcement of our verbal agreement.These people expected that my application was accurate, that my refs were above board and that I would do what I said (even going as far as requiring a $150 refundable deposit for my promise to spay the puppy). They did nothing but play with my family's emotions, waste my time and behave in an unprofessional, inconsiderate and mean-spirited way. They should not be allowed to do this to another family - period.This sort of behavior truly takes away from the rescue groups who are interested in placing animals with loving families.Desired Settlement: I want the Revdex.com to be aware of the behavior of this group and to get this information out to any other unsuspecting, well-meaning families. I also would like them to reimburse me for all of the puppy supplies I purchased expecting to bring home a new puppy. Food, bed, collar, bowls and toys totaling approximately $75.
