All-Tow

Review: I had a large truck breakdown in the middle of McCoy Rd Because of the danger of an accident a Montgomery County police officer was dispatched to the scene. The officer asked what tow company I wanted called. I have no knowledge of towing companies so the officer indicated that he would call whoever was next on the list.I knew, because of the size of my truck, that it would be expensive but they charged me what I believe to be twice the normal and fair rate for a call of this nature. The towing fee was $1200. They did not tow it where I had asked but instead loaded it up and took it about 5 miles away to their lot in Blacksburg. They said I left the scene but I had informed the first driver that I was disabled and I needed to sit and I would wait for them at the location where I had asked the truck o be towed. The owner told me no one informed him I was waiting and even though I had discussed where to tow the truck at least 3 times as they were attempting to load, I was ignored. I believe this was done to justify their unreasonable price. When I asked the owner how did he justify his charge he indicated because it was a police emergency call. I asked for an itemized receipt of charges and he would not provide it. I was told it was a flat rate. The receipt he did provide indicated the truck had to first be removed from a ditch and then hauled. The truck was never in any ditch, which can confirmed by the officer on the scene, but the owner refused to mke ny adjustment on the bill. I was charged for a service that was not provided but you either pay or they hold your vehicle hostage at $75 a day storage fee. I was ripped off and there is nothing that I can do about it I learned the next day that this business has an F rating with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I believe a partial refund is in order for the cost of hauling to Blacksburg rather than 1 block up the road as I had requested. I also believe I should receive some refund for being charged to pull the truck from the ditch, a service I did not receive yet I was charged for.
