A contract for home remodeling was entered into on July 14, 2015 with [redacted] & [redacted] and All Trades Ready Construction, Inc.  for the amount of                   $ 160,000.00.   During the course of construction homeowners...

requested close to $ 45,000.00 in additional items starting on 9-01-15 to 3-24-16.  The homeowner was advised verbally and in writing prior to signing the additional items that it will extend the completion date.   Causes for construction delay:1.  Home was discovered to have unforeseen water damage.2.  Numerous additional items requested and signed by homeowners which added time to project3.  Workers being denied access to certain work areas -  homeowners had advance notice4.  Outside of contract with All Trades Ready, homeowners hired their own sub for kitchen and bathroom counter tops.   They set a date for installation and then      postponed it by one week causing All Trades to reschedule previously scheduled work.5.  Homeowners stopping payments on March 11, 2016 - causing breach in contract  All Trades Ready did not abandon this project.  Homeowners stated in a letter on march 11, 2016 that they wanted a breakdown of remaining work & an updated project schedule and stated they were not making anymore payments until the project was completely finished.  There was no complaints of poor workmanship in this letter and they also continued to request and sign more additional items.  All Trades met with homeowner to discuss the schedule which would be updated after they obtained storage for their belongings (which they did not do)  and that All Trades would email them a breakdown of remaining work (breakdown emailed on 3-15-16).  In good faith All Trades continued to work on their project till 4-08-16 and requested a payment which was refused.  we requested a meeting with them to discuss their project and this matter, but the homeowners refused to meet. The homeowners were then notified on 4-12-16 that their project was put on idle due to non-payment (as stated in contract line item #22).  After the job was put on idle homeowners made numerous complaints and false statements many of which having no bases in fact.  Strangely, they were unwilling to meet in person at the job site to allow us to evaluate these complaints.  Several more attempts were made by phone & email to schedule a meeting to resolve the matter.    In order for All Trades to resume and complete their project we needed to meet on the job with homeowners to address all concerns.  On 6-16-16 an appointment was set up on their job site to discuss all matters and concerns which was canceled by the homeowners 3:43 pm the day before.  Again, we recently attempted to contact them through email with no response.All Trades Ready Construction makes every effort to perform quality work and to satisfy our customers.  If a problem arises we are quick to remedy it.  We find it odd that if a client does not like our workmanship why would they continue to ask for additional items?   We know that construction can be difficult and frustrating at times.  We were very willing to resolve any issues that came up.  All construction work is managed by us.  All Trades Ready Construction would NEVER threaten nor ask a client to take off of work to manage and supervise their own project! Sincerely,S[redacted]All Trades Ready Construction, Inc.
