Review: Auto dealer advertised 2008 Mercedes E320 on internet eBay auction. Dealer claimed to have Title (NY State MV-999: Title Certificate) to vehicle. Buyer (me) purchased vehicle and sent $500 deposit. When ready for vehicle pick up, dealer did NOT have Title at all. He had MV-907A Salvage Certificate which is in no way a title and is not even recognized as proof of ownership in many jurisdictions. The vehicle needs to be Examined by NY State Auto Theft Dept. prior to issuance of an MV-999 Title Certificate. Because the vehicle does NOT have a title, I could not take possession; it is also possible that the vehicle is stolen.Dealer refused to return $500 deposit.Desired Settlement: Refund of $500 deposit
