All Valley Pool Repairs, Inc. Reviews (2)

The owner (Steve [redacted]) of All Valley Pool is not telling the truth as usual. I told him the situation and asked him to do the repairs right up front and I sent him pictures of the fire. I waited over a week for his response to our discussion and pictures and finally had to call him. This...

[redacted] guy would like every one to believe he is a real honest business Owner. He tries to turn the situation into it being my fault. The Company from which [redacted] bought this machine told me that they only sell there product directly to pool supply Companies and Pool Companies. The tracking was done through the Pool Companies and they had no customer information. The Company that sold this machine told me they sent several notices to the Companies that bought these and had no way of contacting the actual end consumer.[redacted] isn't about to help and I have long since payed out of my pocket the $1200. for the repairs. The response time from [redacted] should show you what kind of Business Owner he really is or should I say lack of response (over 4 months to respond to my complaint).I don't know of any threat to [redacted]. Once again [redacted] trying to play me as the at fault person. Bottom line is I don't think [redacted]'s Company has the money to pay for this repair nor the willingness to do the right thing.I am sorry to inform [redacted] that he is very wrong on my business practices. I never would have let this get this far I would have made this right and repaired or paid for the repairs ASAP.At this point I feel it's wasting time dealing with [redacted].Thanks for your efforts.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: We contracted All Valley Pool Repairs, Inc. in March 2013 to have our pool re-plastered. The work was completed in April 2013. We filled the pool in May 2013. The water bills for subsequent months of June, July, August remained very high compared to our normal usage. We also noticed that we had to refill our pool with one inch of water every day. In addition, a small dark crack had appeared on the pool deck. I contacted All Valley Pool Repairs, and on 8/11/13, [redacted] from the company came out to take a look. He thought it could be a leak at the water jet under the crack. He recommended using a bucket to measure the evaporation rate. We performed this test for three weeks, during daytime, evenings, discounting windy days and found that we were losing 1 inch per day. On 9/6/13 I notified the company of my finding. On 9/13/13, I called and let the company know that I could not find the leak and was concerned about the water being collected under the house, possibly forming a sink hole. [redacted] said he would call [redacted] to help perform dye test and find the leak. However, by October, no one had shown up. On 10/26/13 and 10/30/13, I called and was also promised that someone would come out and fix the crack and addressed another issue about the water jets. I also informed the company that I would file a complaint if the company fails to live up to its warranty. As of today date, 11/12/2013, no one had come out to look at the problems. Two days ago, I also noticed that another small crack had appeared at different area of the pool deck.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to honor its warranty and fix the cracks, plus determine how to point the water jet down 45 degree.

RE: Complaint ID # [redacted]

This customer has called us out several times and almost all of the issues were not related to work we did. The last issue for a leaking pipe turned out to be an irrigation pipe not a pool pipe, we fixed it for her since we were out there for no charge. She stated she felt the filter was too small on her system, we installed a larger filter for her again at no additional charge. The several other visits we have made out there were for user error and valves being turned off to the pool auto fill, all have been taken care off for no charge even though it has cost us considerable time and fuel to respond to these. When we got your notice of the leaking pipe complaint we were out there and like I stated repaired her sprinkler. I thought she had called you to remove the complaint. Please look into this as a mark on our record is not acceptable for a non-legitimate complaint.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The issues stated on the reply letter from All Valley Pool Repairs are not ours. We do not have an irrigation pipe, nor did we have a larger filter replaced free of charge. We do not have an auto fill issue with our pool. Are we the same customers that Steve Huddleson meant to reply to in his letter?

After our pool was re-plastered and pool deck resurfaced, we encountered 3 issues:

1) pool leak: Our water bill shows our water usage spike 3 times our normal usage. After we got the leak fixed on our own, the water usage returned to the level before the pool was repaired. [redacted] verbally said he would send someone to assist us in finding the leak. 6 weeks later, we found and repaired the leak even though no one from All Valley Pool came out to assist.

2) cracks in the resurfaced pool deck: A dark discoloration/crack started to appear in the pool deck in July 2013. Although the discoloration is about 6 inches long, there is now a fine-line crack that extends the crack across the pool deck. On 11/16/2013, [redacted] and [redacted] came out and said they would re-paint over the crack because they were unable to determine what caused the dark discoloration. Since it has been raining, I assume that's why they have not been able to come out and paint over the crack.

3) pool return jets: They installed a new vacuum return line in the middle of the pool which would make our in-pool cleaner work more efficiently. However, as it turned out, the existing pool pump return pipes push the surface vacuum tube back toward the deep end. Because of this, the pool cleaner stays in the deep end. In July 2013, [redacted] verbally said they can fix this. On 11/16/2013, [redacted] and [redacted] took a closer look at the return pipes/fittings and said that they should be able to resolve when they come out and re-paint the deck crack.
