Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Situation is unresolved Responses are rejected Company's responses have varied each time a response is sent back As I was told in the shop there was a lot of heat being generated during the removal of the heat shield So much so that it could create a fire Mechanics never showed me where that metal was being removed The excessive heat was in the front area of the car as the fan warped which was causing the excessive vibration after I drove less than half a block from the business The oil filter had just been changed that morning Again, no mention was made while my car was in the shop that my oil filter came in burned on the outside I had just spent $on a oil change that morning and it would make absolutely no sense to go back and create damage to my own vehicle This process is going absolutely no where bouncing back and forth with the business constantly changing the facts Business does not act with integrity Regards, [redacted]

We are going to have to agree to disagree on the amount of times the vehicle was servicedThe customer called but never brought the vehicle in after making several appointmentsWe still stand behind our warranty all the customer needs to do is bring the car back for serviceIf the customer refuses there's nothing more that we can do for this customerSince the customer has an active warranty there is no need for a refund they just need to exercise their warrantee privileges

This situation will go unresolved due to the real facts which is 1) uneducated customer about heat generated from combustible engines2) Customer is misinformed from a different repair center 3) Any claims about damage is not a result of any work performed @ Meineke Car Care CenterThe customer vehicle has over 100,miles and claims that are being made are on wearable items that just plain needed replacing do due to wear and tear. Fact about heat generated from combustible engine gases aka exhaust; No more or no less heat is generated with or without any heat shieldsTherefore the vehicle is and has been operating @ these heat temperatures all it's life and milesIn regards to the burnt oil filter-this is on the surface and was not a result of any heat generated from the engine of the carAn individual somewhere caused these burns to the filter-either by mistake or on purpose

any exhaust heat shield. Cooling fans are located @ the very front of all vehicles and are not under the vehicle where there is exhaust.  Regarding the oil filter damage-this also was not cause by a removal of a heat shield. Any damage to this oil filter that has been presented has been fabricated.
Meineke accepts no responsibility for this very false trumped up claim.

Our customer is complaining about a "squeak" in their front brakes. They told us it was from the brakes we put on. Our team replaced their front brakes as a courtesy since we they were still under warranty. The customer is still complaining their brakes are "squeaking". We have informed the customer...

of a possibility it might not be their front brakes since they were replaced.  We have asked to see the car again to evaluate the noise and they refused. We have offered a rental car for their convenience while their car is in repair-they have refused. We have offered them a rental car while their car is being repaired. We have offered to pick up and deliver their car and they have refused. We have done the best we can to help this customer. They need to help themselves and be more reasonable. There will be no refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  I have taken my car back to [redacted] over five times giving them the opportunity to fix the problem.  I was told that the brakes were replaced twice.  They informed me that my back brakes were fine on the initial visit.  Now the shop is wanting to work on the back brakes.  If they couldn't fix the front brakes it would make no since to allow them to work on the back brakes and charge me more to have the same result.
