Review: I have known James since May 2009 when he did some work for me. A tree fell on my house in June 2012, I called him again for an estimate for repairs on my house. He did complete most of the repairs. However, there are two outstanding issues that he has left incomplete. He has refused to return my calls, text messages or pick up a certified letter from the post office. Issue one: April 5, 2013 I sought and obtained an estimate from James to build a one car driveway on my property. He told me he did not need a permit to complete the job, until I witnessed an inspector stop him in front of the house about it in May 2013. He went to apply for a permit, he was told that he needed a variance to a specific section of the Zoning Ordinance. I applied for the variance, paid the unexpected costs and it was granted. He went back to apply for the permit and it was issued September 6, 2013. In August 2013 he asked me for more money. I negotiated to pay less that what he asked. He had gravel poured onto the driveway area that same month. He disappeared in August and only returned in April 2014 after many messages and the letter that I tried to deliver. He partially cut the curb during half of a day and has not resurfaced since. I have pleaded and threatened to pursue the matter legally so that the driveway would be finished as we agreed. He has done nothing. Issue two: James has poorly repaired the roof where the tree impacted the roof of my living room and dining area to the point that I have to put buckets along the affected area every time it rains. There is another area along a wall that is getting more and more damaged. He came back a few times to unsuccessfully repair. He has received more than $40,000 from my home insurance for repairs and the driveway work.Desired Settlement: I am seeking to be repaid the money I have had to pay the new contractor to finish the driveway and pay a roofer to repair the ill repaired roof over my living room and dining area.

About two months ago, I filed a complaint on the Revdex.com website against [redacted] Contractor LLC, located in [redacted], MD. I did not receive any email confirmation when I filed the complaint. Yesterday evening this same contractor telephoned me telling me that he received a letter from the Revdex.com. He asked me what was wrong. He told me that I owed him money instead and proceeded to argue with me. Not knowing what correspondence he was looking at, and not knowing how Revdex.com will proceed to help me with this man who needs to pay me back for the incomplete work, I stopped his arguing by hanging up.

I would like to have a copy of the correspondence that he received. Please let me know what role Revdex.com is going to play to help resolve my problem with this man. My phone number is ###-###-####.

We sent the company a copy of your complaint, With a letter asking for them to respond, the same thing we do with all other consumer complaint that we handle. so far they have not responded.
