I used United for a cross-country move, and it turned out to be one of the most stressful experiences of my lifeI have never experienced worse customer service from any companyMy price doubled after the truck was loaded, and I had to negotiate them back down to more than 50% more than my original quoteThis occurred despite a promise that my original quote was locked inI was also told that the delivery would take 7-days and it ended up taking well over a monthRead on for the details
When I initially called, I was given a quote of about $to move basically one bedroom's worth of stuff across the countryThe sales associate, Barbara, acted very friendly, and said that she would be able to give me a good deal because I referred several friends to United based on this low quoteWhen I started to pack, I realized I had a few more items than I had originally estimated, so I called Barbara back, assuming my price would go up slightlyShe cut me off before I could tell her what I had and told me not to worry - that she would lock in the price she had originally quoted me
I also spoke to her in detail about when the truck would be at my new home, as I had a limited window of about a week between arriving and starting my new job when I would be available to meet the moversShe told me that the move would take 7-daysI would not be arriving until days after leaving my old home, so she told me that they could store my things for days or so before shipping them so they would arrive when I would be availableShe said that it cost extra to request a specific delivery day but that if I called and spoke to her once my items were en route she would arrange for the truck to arrive when I needed it
On the day of the move, the movers gave me my bill after everything was loaded onto the truckThe bill was over $2100, nearly double my initial quote that their salesperson had promised to lock inI was told that my initial quote was just an estimate, and that the actual price was based on volumeI called Barbara and explained the situation, and she spoke to the moversIt quickly became apparent that she did not have the authority to lock in a price as she had promisedShe told me she would talk to her boss and call me backThe movers agreed to cut the price down to $1760, still much higher than my initial quoteI had to pay half of this on the spot or they would unload all of my things
I spoke to Barbara every couple of days during and after my move, but never seemed to get anywhereWe had the same conversation every time - she apologized and blamed her boss, saying things like "That ae still hasn't gotten back to me." She kept promising to have the owner of the company call me, but after weeks of trying I never actually got through to himShe tried to act helpful, and I'm honestly not sure if she was trying to pull a bait and switch on me or if she was so clueless about her own job that she didn't realize she was making promises she couldn't keep
Throughout this process, it seemed to get progressively harder to talk to Barbara at allI would call the company and ask for her, and would usually end up getting transferred to their dispatcher, BenBen was the worst one at the companyI have dealt with anyone at any company who was so dismissive of a customer's concernsHe repeatedly delayed the estimate of my delivery date without explanationWhen I explained my concerns, his only response was to tell me policies that had never been explained to me before my move - that the price is always based on volume and that they legally had up to business days FROM MY ARRIVAL, NOT THE PICKUP, to deliver my itemsWhen I tried to explain that I explained the promises that his salesperson had made, and he took no responsibility for his company giving me informationIf I tried to speak to anyone else at the company, I would somehow end up on the phone with Ben, and he would refuse to transfer me to the person I was looking for
It got to the point where I would get angry as soon as I heard Ben's voiceI felt like I was in some sort of purgatory where I could not get any information, and anytime I tried to talk to a different person this same guy would pick up the phone
My items didn't arrive until 3-weeks after I moved into my new homeLuckily everything was intact, and the movers themselves were very pleasant to work withA couple days before they arrived, I finally managed to speak to Jennifer instead of BenShe was more receptive to my complaints but was only able to offer me another $discount and the promise that someone would talk to Barbara about the promises she was making to customersIn exchange for this, she told me I would have to sign a non-disparagement agreement that would prevent me from posting any negative reviews onlineHowever, my items were delivered the next morning, and I never signed the agreement

United Transportation Moving & Storage is an outstanding companyThey provide friendly and enthusiastic customer serviceTheir employees handled my stuff with careThe move went smoothly and efficientlystarsI highly recommend it

I think you guys can use a little improvement in your guys business, but all and all you guys do a decent job in helping people out because that is the main goalSo I just want to see improvements in the future

They were SUPER friendly when booking- they were days late picking up our belongings We moved to Hawaii and our stuff sat on a different island for a month! Nobody ever called me back! I had to continue calling, couldn't understand the dispatcher They had our stuff for weeks!!! Requested a discount and still got the run around DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

This company works very suffiiciently and also in a timely matterThey tranported my music equipment from a studio in LA to the east coastWhen everything arrived nothing was scratched up or damagedThey handled my expensive stuff with careI recommend using them for your moving needsThis is coming from a guy who had a stakein a movimg company in the past

United Transportation Moving & Storage is one of the top moving companies that I have ever done business withDuring one of my past moves, they were very professional and efficient! Since it was one of my first moves, I prompted them with many questions, and the movers were able to answer all of them with a clear, straightforward answer that never left me doubting their serviceThe move was so smooth because of their professionalism, and I couldn't have asked for better; they were at the top of their game! Everything got to my destination in great condition and I have not used this company in a while since I no longer live in California, but if I ever return there and need to find a moving company, I will be calling them up for their excellent service!

I was asked by my mom to help her set up to move She was downsizing to a smaller place and needed to put some things in storage Since I live in another state I could only rely on the internet to find a moving and storage company I found United Transportation and secured a place for her My mom was thrilled with them! Everyone was so nice and professional The place was clean and she felt the place was secure

Moving from my vacation home in Cali to a different house, I knew was going to be a hassle because when is moving not? I had a wonderful experience with these movers. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

I had a lot of furniture to move and many fragile items.
The movers were very gentle in moving everything. They worked quick and efficient. I have no complaints at all. Nothing was broken or wrecked in the process and they were very helpful.

I would recommend this moving company. Overall great experience.

All Ways Transportation is a top notch moving company. Their staff is thorough and highly professional. They handled my items with the upmost care. I highly recommend people hire All Ways Transportation.

I hired them to help me move after a family emergency occurred, although they was given just a short notice they managed to come through and actually save the day. I called them on a Tuesday and they had a crew at my house on a Wednesday afternoon.

They moved everything gentle with care to avoid any damages and they stayed within the price range I was quoted over the phone. I am fortunate to have had such a great experience.

I think they need some improvement on getting the job done on time. I have used then before, and they handled the booking well, but not the getting things done on time part. Also customer service was no help either, and they can improve too. So that is my review.

I just recently had the pleasure of using united transportation moving and storage when I was moving from Cali back to Indiana. I had heard some really great things about them so I figured why not... I had scheduled them to pick everything up on a Monday probably about 6 hours before my flight back to Indiana. They showed up on time and had everything loaded and on the way within 3 hours which means I got to the airport about 2 hours before my flight. They delivered every thing to my new apartment on a Thursday morning and put every thing in place for me. I had nothing damaged or missing which from what I read online about moving companies can be a major concern. The employees were prompt and very professional through the whole process. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy moving company. thanks again...

I tend to have to relocate every year or every other year for my job. I travel to new locations and launch new branches and staff the locations and ensure they are operating properly before moving on to the next project.

I always use All Ways Transportation as they have been the most reliable over the years. They always take care of my belongings and deliver on time every time. I haven't ever had any major issues with them.

I will continue using them until I either get a permanent location or I retire and move back home.

it's our second time to hire, United Transportation moving and storage to move our office. As the other time we called them, they were quick at the phone knew how to do their job, and most important I felt comfortable ... We agree for 6-8pm arrival time , and they showed up around 6:15 pm which was great. this company is highly recommended .we will hire them again for all of my moving need
