In March of we responded to a call from the customer that “smoke and small flames” were coming from the boiler.When we arrived at the residence it was
discovered that the customer had been tampering with, disassembling and working on the equipmentBecause of this we told him our company will not work on the unit and that we are declining any further work with the customer.Due to the highly dangerous nature of an oil furnace and especially of a hot water boiler, servicing and repairs should only be done by a factory trained, licensed contractorContractors are required by law to carry a specific boilers license to do any work on boilers.All Weather Heating, A/C Incis such a company, factory trained, fully licensed HVAC contractor and carries a boilers license.Equipment manufacturers clearly state that their equipment must only be worked on by factory trained, licensed contractors, otherwise the warranty is voided.Tampering with oil furnace and boiler parts and their controls can result in severe danger from fire, smoke and catastrophic explosions.The untrained and unlicensed person puts himself, his family, neighbors and anyone entering the building in extreme danger.Because of this danger and liability issues we decline to service or work on their equipment.Sincerely,All Weather Heating, A/C Inc
