All Wood Floors

We recently had Elliott *. L[redacted]r owner of All Wood Floors put some hardwood floors in the house.The total bid was $9,200.,We paid him $3,400.cash up front to order wood then we paid him $2,000.cash for install labor.Not too smart of us,we thought he was honest like us so we paid cash that he asked for on just a handshake,boy did we learn a lesson!After install and before the last step of applying the finish stain he stated he had been paid nothing" not one thin dime and wanted the whole bid paid again before the finish.we told him we had paid the $5,400.cash and he said no we hadn't there was no proof or paper trail,luckily we had his text he had admitted to already getting paid.We asked him to remove his tools and promptly hired another comp.to apply finish.Then we Google d him(next time we'll do it before)and we got the shock of our life, the public records showed he had multiple Felony convictions ,forgery ,assualt ,firearms charges,multiple alcohol/drug DUI ' S many charges of providing false info.to an officer he has 6 or more fake names alias on record he gives to try and get away with crimes he committed,disorderly conduct been in prison alot,the public records go on and on and to think we let him in our house,scary!
