I hired Allans Landscaping to deliver top soil to my backyard and have it leveled for sod. The bobcat driver left a huge pile of dirt/low spotsI ordered 10 yards of top soil to be delivered to my house and bobcat services to level it in preparation for laying sod on it. The order date was Thursday morning, July 21 2016.The delivery was to take place the next day, friday the 22nd in the morning. The top soil arrived in the afternoon around 4pm. It was dumped in the street. The bobcat came about 15 minutes later. The bobcat driver was angry because he had just been told about this job, and didnt have anybody to help him clean up the soil in the street or the right scoop on the front of his bobcat for spreading topsoil. He took most of the soil to the back yard and started spreading it around the back yard. When he was close to being done I went to the front of the house to start cleaning up the dirt on the street. he took another load back there and told me he was going to smooth everything out and put some by the fence where he couldn't get into with the bobcat. After that he took the remaining soil in the street and put it in my neighbors yard( for a future front lawn). After he was gone and I went to the back yard, there was a large pile of dirt, about 1 1/2 to 2 cubic yards of dirt piled by my fence with many low and high spots and track all over my yard and part of my neighbors. I was charged $270 dollars for the bobcat service. My neighbor, who had the same service done the day before was charged $120 by a different company and his yard was completely smooth and level. When I called Allans Landscaping to complain, the guy on the other hand, who I had never talked to before and hadn't taken my order the day before, told me I had only paid to have it spread, not leveled, and I would have to pay and extra $0.80 per foot to have it prepared for sod. 2 other guys and myself had to spend about 2 hours fixing the mistakes the best we could. The yard still isn't leveled correctly, And since my fence is going up this weekend there isn't a change to get a professional in to fix it [redacted] Desired SettlementI want the $270 I paid to have it leveled refunded to me.
