I purchased a pair of their running shoes last AugustI only wore the shoes a handful of times I washed the shoes per their instructions and the stitching on seam came undone on one of the shoes I asked them for a replacement or a refund and sent them pictures of the damage They offered me a $discount off another pair I went back to them and told they I was not satisfied with their offer, they have not repliedAt the time of my purchase they advertised 100% customer satisfaction I am requesting a full refund or exchange
When I first bought them, I was so excited over how comfortable they were that I started recommending them to friends and familyIn fact, I was originally recommended them by my sister! They're fairly cute, earth friendly, fairly priced, and extremely comfortable...for a few monthsI have worn these shoes off and on for months with socksI did take them with me on an Europe trip but didn't wear them more than three days on that tripOn a week, I wear these shoes anywhere between once a week to three times a weekI frequently purchase expensive shoes so imagine my dismay when these shoes didn't even make the month mark before holes started forming!
Allbirds claims you can wear them without socksI tried it onceIt was disgusting and made my feet sweatOkay, no biggieI can wear them with socks like I do all my other shoesAllbirds claim they're washableThey recommend cold water, remove the insoles, place in laundry bag, and air dryThat's pretty easy since I put most of my stuff in laundry bags anyway so done and done! They came out looking absolutely terrible and lost its shape! It looks like I had wore the shoes daily for several years! Sure, they're technically washable but they're disgusting to look at after the first wash so be warnedI see nothing environmentally friendly about having to repurchase a pair of shoes every 4-monthsI'm so disappointed and should've been more wary since my sister had hers for only months before recommending them to meThere's a reason allbirds does not make it easy to review their shoes on their social media and websiteIt's because they know their shoes are crapThe real reason other retailers don't make wool shoes is because it simply does not hold up!
