Allegany Mountain Resort Reviews (13)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Consumer informed Revdex.com that business has contacted her and this is being resolvedRegards, [redacted]

Revdex.com spoke to Michelle at business and the following was relayed: We have reached out to customer and invited them to sit down and discuss to arrive at a resolution

We met Saturday (10/01) as agreedWe went over the many benefits of his program (many of which he did not know)We also gave him a free week for him and his family in one of our brand new cabinsI believe all the issues he had have been discused and resolved

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowDave, we have made multiple attempts to your resort to speak with Michele, the manager, as we requested to speak with someone other than LisaUnfortunately, the conversation that Lisa gave you is not fully accurate and she was not that polite on the phone We attempted calls to speak as follows: 8/22/15- left message with Lisa to have Michele return call; no return call received 8/23-15- called resort, told manager not in and to call back next day 8/24/- asked to speak with Michele, put on hold for about minutes, phone hung up; tried minutes later, put on hold 5-minutes ether hung upNo return callResort had our name and number and that information that we were seeking to speak with a managerMy family and I feel highly uncomfortable paying and visiting a resort that has such minimal customer service and satisfactionI've mentioned this before and it's been breezed over We were severely misspoken to and there were no repercussions for that, just an additional negative response from the businessMy husband has indeed had significant medical issues and I wouldn't expect sympathy but possibly some understanding and respectWe asked for financial assistance and received the reply from Lisa that there was nothing that could be done.
Regards,
*** ***

I am writing this letter in response to complaint made by *** *** on June 15, to the Revdex.com***, I am at a complete loss regarding your accusationsI have in my possession two signed credit applications with ***-*** *** Credit CardsOne signed by you, *** ***, and the other
signed by *** ***Right above the signature is is stated that you have read the disclosure and am applying to *** Bank *** Card AccountI will not forward these applications to the Revdex.com as they have your private information on them but if you need copies sent to you I would be happy to do soOnce we submit this info to the credit card company we cannot reverse itIf you were approved, and it sounds like you were, but you did not purchase the membership you still get the card in the mailWe do not control thatAs far as "soft credit" checks I do not know how to respond other than to say your complaint is the first one of this kind I have received in over years of being in this businessIf we were doing business as you are accusing us of doing then that would have come out a long time agoI am sorry for your inconvenience on this matterI am available should yo wish to discussSincerely, *** ***

*** & *** *** purchased a five year membership.on June 20, which expires on June 19, *** had seasonal site #*** for the camping seasonMichelle H., the Resort Manager, has indicated to me that neither *** nor *** made any comments regarding the water or the
electric functioning improperly at their siteThere are no notes In their file eitherHad they reported these issues we would have taken care of them right awayWe can't fix a problem if we don't know about itI think it is highly improper that a member that is six months behind on their bill to file a complaint to the Revdex.com and cite issues that transpired a year ago, which they did not report to management, then ask to be let out of their Membership AgreementIf *** want to meet with me to discuss that is fine bit they are still members and as such are required to meet their obligations to the ResortDave G

*** & *** *** became members at Allegany Mountain Resort on August 10, They purchased a Cabin Membership with annual maintenance fees of $per year starting March 1, They paid the bill on 2/23/(early)The bill was mailed out to them in mid January
with a due date of March 1st and delinquent on March 15thAll of this is clearly detailed out in their membership agreement which they both signed (copies available)***'s were sent statements showing their delinquency in April, May, June, July, and August and yet *** states in her complaint she was unaware of her past due balanceWhen Lisa called *** regarding her past due balance she stated she didn't feel sheowed anything because she did not use the ResortLisa pulled out ***'s file and went over her membership agreement with herWhen it became-clear that *** did owe the money she then started escalating the conversation by attacking the Resort (our reservation records indicate they have never stayed here) with rude and untrue commentsLisa responded by telling *** that she cannot help her if she continued attacking the ResortWhen this did not stop Lisa told *** (twice) that "if you continue to be rude I will have to end our conversationYou can call back later and speak to someone else If you wish"Other girls in our office have collaborated Lisa's story***You also stated in your complaint that your husband was having some medical issuesPerhaps that was the driving force here that caused the conversation with my office to go badlyIf you would like to schedule a time for you and *** to meet with me that would be fineJust let me knowDave G

I am writing this brief response to ***'s complaint filed with the Revdex.com on June 17, I have enclosed all previous correspondence between *** and ResortAs you will see I gave him every opportunity to meet with me and as you will also see I did not threaten him as he statesWhat I did do is
respond to ***'s statement made to Revdex.com in which he states" responded by threatening legal action" when I actually said (see #'s & enclosed) " I will take the necessary steps to protect my business and its reputation" (which I still stand by!!) when he told me he would post negative comments regarding my business if I did not meet his demandsSincerely, David Geddes

We remain dissatisfied because the Alleghany Mountain Resort owner has made no legitimate response to our request for a refundHis salesman used patently claims to make a sale, which I outlined in the original complaintOwner Dave Geddes offered to have us come out and talk to his manager, whom we talked to on the phone --the manager said he had no authority to solve our problem and that owner, Dave Geddes, must deal with itThis is simple stone-walling on the part of resort owner Dave Geddes, which we have discovered he is very adept atIt is a matter of trust- a reputable business that makes verbal sales claims must back them up and show them to be legitimate or they should give a dissatisfied customer their money backAlleghany Mountain Resort used unethical, unsavory techniques to lock us into a sale and then set the hook and reeled us along using contractual and legal intimidationNot only is this disturbing, but it is simply bad businessPerhaps that is they only way they can get someone to pay such high rates to go camping

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Consumer informed Revdex.com that business has contacted her and this is being resolved. Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is incomplete to me.  They also added in our meeting that because my wife could not be there, they would like to meet with her at another time, and if we are still not happy (which my wife still is not over the way it was told to us after I explained the meeting) they would work with us to sell our contract. I am satisfied with what I was told to resolve this issue, but nothing written in this statement of resolution.
