Review: I parked my 2007 C 230 Mercedes temporarily at an almost empty [redacted] parking lot Wed afternoon to unload grocery items when my car was towed within 15-20 mins for not having the permit sticker. I rushed downstairs and could see the tow truck pull out of the parking lot with my car. I immediately called [redacted] which had a sign and phone no ###-###-#### in the parking lot. I was told that the tow truck is headed to Allegheny Auto & Truck Enterprises and that I should come and pick up my car from there. That was strange as the sign displayed a different towing company name. I also had to ask about the address as it was different from [redacted] Towing as listed on Revdex.com. The guy I spoke to turned out to be the owner and was upset I asked him about the address more than once. Anyway, I got to Allegheny Auto & Truck Enterprise, Inc on Baldwin Road and it turned out to be a place full of gravel and dirt and cars that were salvaged to a junk yard. My girlfriend and I were instructed not to use the ramp into the office and instead use the stairs. I was extremely skeptical of the place and wanted to inspect my car which was parked in the junk yard. I noticed a few scratch marks near the rear bumper and exhaust pipe outlet was scuffed up as well. When I informed of this to the owner in the office he totally dismissed it in a disdain manner and said that his tow truck driver isn't responsible for any of that. I am a Transportation Engineer from Harrisburg and my girl-friend is a final year PhD candidate at UPITT. We both felt that the guy was not only racially prejudiced towards us but also tried to cover up for the damage to my car by talking aggressively and showing no respect towards an educated Asian-American person. He demanded $140 cash and I offered to pay with my Amex or Visa credit card as I could see the credit card processing terminal in his office. He declined the offer and kept demanding cash so that I could take my car. This location was secluded from the city and as my girlfriend was with me I felt insecure and uncomfortable in the office as his behavior towards us was clearly racially prejudiced . For security purposes, I felt it was in our best interest to the pay the money in cash and get out of there. I don't know if this towing company is the authorized enterprise for [redacted] as there was a different name in the sign displayed in the parking lot. Also under normal circumstances I would let my insurance company deal with the scratch marks and hold the towing company responsible for the damage. But in this case I felt humiliated and disrespected by the customer service I received from the owner. Such disdain and dismissive behavior towards a customer due to racial prejudice and subsequent trying to cover up for the damages should be not tolerated and hence my complaint with Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Unequivocal apology letter from the owner for such disrespectful treatment towards a customer and refund check of full amount of $140 payable to [redacted] mailed to my address at [redacted]

Review: I was towed out of my apartment parking lot even though I had a parking pass in the window. When I called the Allegheny Auto and Truck they said they had taken the car but there was no pass in the car. After I paid and got my car I noticed that some of my stuff had been moved around in my car. After looking through my car I noticed that my parking pass had been moved from my back window to under a pair of shoes I had in the car. The towing people went through my car and look the parking pass and placed it under the pair of shoes.Desired Settlement: I would like my $160 back that I had to pay to free my car.
