Review: On 08/17/2014 I purchased multiple clothing items and blankets from Allegheny Wholesale Outlet (The Company)located at [redacted]. The package containing my items was delivered to my front porch via UPS on 08/20/2014 at 4:08pm . Upon opening the package, I noticed a strong odor coming from the items inside. It was at that time that my wife and young daughter left the room. As I removed the articles of clothing, I noticed that the odor was emanating from the two blankets that were stuffed haphazardly into the box. I immediately removed the blankets from my house so they could air out as I continue to inspect the items. Next I noticed an Army Physical Training (PT) shirt was visibly dirty and contained permanent ink stains on the front and back. The jacket and shorts were both in poor condition and visibly dirty as well. It was at that point that I took photographs of the items and wrote an email to the company with my complaint and my intent to return the items. The email to the Company was sent on 8/20/2014 at 7:23pm.I offered a solution to the Company to avoid potential litigation. Based on the Companys documented violation of the contract both partys entered into upon sale of the merchandise, I requested that the Company provide a full refund and reimburse me for the return shipping charges. On Saturday, 8/23/2014 at 7:33pm, I received an email from the Company, written by a Customer Service Rep named [redacted]. The email stated simply; I have forwarded your picture to our manager and I have been told that you have received the 4 correct Very Good Used Condition items, so we are unable to refund the shipping costs. I apologize for any inconvenience. As you see, the email does not acknowledge any of the specific issues I raised, nor does it offer any alternative solution. More information regarding this complaint is available upon request, including copies of emails and photo evidence. Note: I have contacted the DLA to request assistance in this matter.Desired Settlement: As I stated to "[redacted]" at Allegheny Surplus Outlet; upon return, I want a full refund, plus reimbursement for the shipping charges.
