Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2017/10/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I acknowledge their cancellation policy and was aware of it prior to arrivalMy issue is the discrepancy between the rooms shown on their website at https://www.glenghorm.net/the-rooms and the actual condition of the facility as clearly shown in my photographsThere is no way that I would have been able to know about this discrepancy since they used fraudulent means to misrepresent their businessI couldn't have had prior knowledge the room would have either live and or dead insects, be filthy and in such poor state of repairHad I known in advance, I certainly wouldn't have booked thereSince I was offered rooms in separate buildings, both of which were filthy and require repairs and the exteriors of the other facilities were in similar condition, I believe that I was justified in asking for a full refund of my booking fee on arrivalThe receptionist refused a refund and stated that I would be charged for the room even if I found other accommodationsWas I supposed to bite the bullet, take the loss of $*** and secure other accommodations at an additional cost knowing that I wouldn't recover my money? I would have sought other accommodations had they given me a refundI am not satisfied with their offer of a partial refundI would also like to inquire as to whether a health inspector and or maintenance inspector have visited them
