Allen Animal Control Reviews (4)

I hired Allen Animal Control to supplement a company that I was already using to trap roof rats in my atticThe other company had set traps in the attic and I wanted to resolve the issue as soon as possibleAfter speaking to Joe on the phone, he stated that he also traps the roof and uses a special, superior baitHe came out and set three traps on the roof, did not check the attic at allWithin the next week, he caught two rats and disposed of themHe then performed the seal, again, without ever having checked the atticBetween the three visits and sealing, the total came to $$was charged for sealing the roof to prevent further attic intrusionI asked my regular pest company to check the seals and found that two spots were not sealed at allOut of the other two openings, one was sealed correctly while the other one had a screen that was barely attached and didn't even cover the total of the pipeTo the work performed a sealing job is not possible with even the best of imaginationTo charge $for such sloppy work just adds insultIn contrast, my other provider charged $for visits and fixed the sealing job botched by Joe for freeI disputed the sealing charges, and provided pictures of the issues to JoeBetween the outrageous charges and the incomplete work, I would not recommend using this business

We were initially given a quote via phone of $500 and could be up to $700 (reason for variance not explained) to catch roof rats in our attic. Joe would set traps in all openings and upon completion of catching all rats, would then install wire mesh around all openings to prevent further roof rat infestation. This required 4 trips back to our home to P/U known caught rats (they fell off the roof to ground below) and reset the traps. After 3rd rat caught, we heard no more noise in the attic. He then returned to install the wire mesh around the openings. At no point did Joe tell us about a disposal fee of the rats which he tacked onto a $700 charge. When he was called (since we weren't home, Joe left the statement attached to the front door) to ask about the addi. charge, Joe became very agitated (saying if he told everyone of this fee, he wouldn't have much business! I said this was not very ethical) he would not allow my husband to say much more, and then he eventually hung up with no resolution and very little explanation. At no point in the 2 wks. of working with Joe was there a signed agreement, all is verbal. Not good! After not hearing from Joe for a few days, we sent him a check, meeting in the middle at $600, and haven't heard from him since.

Joe allen came to my property and invoiced me for work he did not do and was done by another company. I had originally told him that I no longer wanted him to come over and give me a quote and/or perform any services. A month later tried to invoice/bill me for $615.00

I am not paying for work that wasnt authorized/or completed on his part. I think its unethical to try to con people out of money for work you did not do.
