Allen Branch's Fitness One Reviews (4)

Johana,    I filed a complaint against the below company on Friday, June 16. Since filing the complaint, my issue has been completely resolved by the company.     I cancelled my gym membership, with the gym below, back in February and my exchange with the...

own wasn't pleasant from my perspective. He was disappointed with my decision to cancelled and seemed to be very irritated. I also left without asking for a copy of my cancellation. The gym's policy is that you have to wait 90 days before your membership is completely cancelled, meaning that I had to make 3 more payments. May was the last month that the payment was to come out.  Well, I didn't anticipate the money to be withdrawn in June, so when it was I got really upset. I contacted the owner via email, but he did not respond until Monday, June 19.  However, I noticed that the issue had been resolved prior to his email, through my bank (I disputed the charge).    Aside from the conversation that I and the owner had when I cancelled my membership, I have had no other issues with the company and I would like to retract my statement and let you all know that my issue has been completely resolved. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.  Allen Branch's Fitness One1209 Shields Road #7Kernersville, NC. 27284 Best regards, Ashlea [redacted]

refunded by us. We did however agree to this variance, and a communication error caused this over charge to her account, which we did refund but not in a timely enough manner, of which falls on me. We also have confirmed that she is claiming a refund for a month that she was not billed, and we have the documentation to show this. If customer would like to mail us a statement showing the interest accrued on this account based on the correct over charge prior to refund, we will happily refund any amounts of this "interest" she is requesting, out of good faith due to the prolonged time period before the refund was received.     My billing department has full records of the conversations, account activity and amounts due/refunded should the Revdex.com wish to see this. Resolution: If customer can provide statement proof of the overcharge and show that interest charged was a result of our error, we will happily refund the "interest" she is claiming. Subject: Withdraw Complaint

I need to withdraw a complaint I had against Allen Branch Fitness One, I misunderstand somethings in my contract and he is not at fault.

Review: I cancelled my Fitness One membership in June 2014 due to unforeseen medical issues with the understanding that I would be charged for July's membership. To date, my credit card has been charged for August, September, October, November, and December membership at a rate of $39.99. Since September, I have talked directly with Ashley (who, from my understanding, oversees the business finances of Fitness One) three times regarding the overages, and all three times she has promised a prompt refund would be issued. In January, Ashley called me requesting updated credit card information as to keep my membership current. Clearly, she had zero recollection of our previous conversations which was gravely concerning to me. Again, I reminded her that I'd cancelled my membership in June of 2014 and was still waiting to be refunded for said overages. Again, I was promised a prompt refund which never happened. We are now in April and the issue still hasn't been resolved. The $199.00 in overages that were charged to my credit card have since been accruing interest at a rate of 14.9%. On March 10, 2015, I called the gym and left a message for Allen B[redacted] (Fitness One's owner) to call me regarding this issue. Also, as directed on the voicemail, I sent a text precisely with the same message as above. I never received a return call. Two weeks later, I received a check in the mail in the amount of $156.00, which didn't even cover the complete amount charged to my credit card in overages nor did it cover any of the interest that's been accruing for the last nine months. On March 28, 2015, I called the gym and left a message and I also sent a text as prompted by the gym's voicemail inquiring as to why I was shorted $43.00 in addition to the credit card interest that's been accruing on the $199.00 owed for the last nine months. To date, I still haven't received a response.Desired Settlement: As stated above, I'm requesting a refund in the amount of $43.00 owed in overages IN ADDITION TO the credit card interest that's been accruing on the $199.00 in overages at a rate of 14.9% for the last nine months. My request is fair and reasonable - it's my money! The $199.00 that Fitness One charged to my credit card was for services that were not rendered. Having to chase this company for a refund for nine, almost ten months, is a prime example of negligent and unethical business practice.
