Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
My complaint has absolutely nothing to do with the chimney linerIt is about a factory built, stainless steel chimney that Allen Chimneys installed back in and it was, erroneously, approved by the local building inspector. The fact that MrA*** gets confused and again, makes a mistake and refers to a chimney liner is worrisome to me. I agree that the town made a mistake but so did Allen Chimney. Allen Chimneys' alledged professionals in the field should know the codes and to now blame the inspector alone is both irresponsible and reflects poor business mannerSo both professionals made a huge mistake and both got away with it till now that a neighbor has complained about smoke entering her houseIn addition, I did ask MrA*** to please rush the repair, not because I was disrespectful of his commitments, nor his responsibilities but because the town had given me a deadline to complyHe knew that all too well because I sent him all the informationAnd yes, he is right, he said we would work it outBut what did he mean by that? Well here is what he proposed: He initially said the job would cost me $1,So he made a mistake and now wanted me to pay to correct itAfter I declined this offer he came up with:
"you rent the machine to go up to your roof and Ill get the materials."
Well, In attempts to be flexible I agreed to look into thisWent to United Rentals and the so called machine cost $1, Obviously I declined that offer as wellThis is why MrA*** says that I have not worked with himI have been so flexible to accommodate this man that I eve agreed to take down a review from his *** page to show him my good faith
Our last contact was on Tuesday September at 7:He called me regarding my last text to him where I told him that to make me wait another month was not acceptable because, as he knew all too well, I was going to start getting fines for not meeting the towns deadlineWhen I told him that I was planning on contacting the Revdex.com and my attorney he became furious and said 'fu and hung up the phoneIt is a real shame that MrA*** has such poor control of his anger and such poor business practiceI have never, ever been disrespectful in any mannerAll I have done is to demand my rights as a customerI wish to resolve this amicably but, seeing his aggressive manner concerns meOne thing is to disagree and the other is to be disrespectful

We did indeed install a liner in for you, that is working and performing just fineThe town did indeed verify that it was working and installed to code, twice, via town inspectionAfter a complaint by
your neighbor that smoke was entering her home, an architect was hired to assess the situation That architect was able to sway, somehow, the township from deciding that their inspection was incorrect Hence, the town did indeed inform you that the chimney was not done to code and that it has to be raised above the peak of the house We agree on all of this that I have writtenWe have been in communication but is not within your time requirement You want me to put my current jobs and calls on hold for you and your town, who messed up I am a very busy man and I have told you over and over that it will get resolved and I will work with you However, you have been harassing me on a daily basis to complete this repair, even texting me late at night However, and I have told you this, I want to talk to the building inspector first to determine who should be responsible for paying my men, for materials, time, insurance, gas, etc That's not enough for you He was away on vacation and I told you that as well Still not good enoughWe came to a conclusion on payment, so do not even tell me I said you will have to pay for everything

I am rejecting this response because:My complaint has absolutely nothing to do with the chimney liner. It is about a factory built, stainless steel chimney that Allen Chimneys installed back in 2010 and it was, erroneously, approved by the local building inspector. The fact that Mr. A[redacted] gets confused and again, makes a mistake and refers to  a chimney liner is worrisome to me. I agree that the town made a mistake but so did Allen Chimney. Allen Chimneys'  alledged professionals in the field should know the codes and to now blame the inspector alone is both irresponsible and reflects poor business manner. So both professionals made a huge mistake and  both got away with it till now that a neighbor has complained about smoke entering her house. In addition, I did ask Mr. A[redacted] to please rush the repair, not because I was disrespectful of his commitments, nor his responsibilities but because the town had given me a deadline to comply. He knew that all too well because I sent him all the information. And yes, he is right, he said we would work it out. But what did he mean by that? Well here is what he proposed: He initially said the job would cost me $1,800.00. So he made a mistake and now wanted me to pay to correct it. After I declined this offer he came up with:"you rent the machine to go up to your roof and Ill get the materials." Well, In attempts to be flexible I agreed to look into this. Went to United Rentals and the so called machine cost $1,100.00. Obviously I declined that offer as well. This is why Mr. A[redacted] says that I have not worked with him.I have been so flexible to accommodate this man that I eve agreed to take down a review from his [redacted] page to show him my good faith. It is a real shame that Mr. A[redacted] has such poor control of his anger and such poor business practice. I have never, ever been disrespectful in any manner. I highly suggest that you take down your name calling and slandering of my company.  I'm not sure where you saw that my company has every been sued because it has not. If someone threatened to sue my company and never did, that is simply a threat, and not a suit.  Your response contains slandering words and you really should be careful and take them down.  I will be contacting the Revdex.com regarding this name calling and slandering language.  With that said, I am not a liar.  I always make good on the work I have done when there is a legitimate problem and many times, the problem is not caused by my company's mistakes.  Still, I go back.  Repairs can be tricky sometimes, especially when it comes to masonry, leaks, etc.  I have returned to customers' homes on numerous occasions in my 7 years in business to make right any issues that a customer has.  In the situation between you and I, however, I did not say you contacted me months later.  I stated that you contacted me weeks later.  Please reread the response I wrote for your personal reference.  Silly details such as this should at least be correct.  Upon initially hearing about and seeing images of the spots, I assumed it was indeed our company and was very apologetic, as well as offering to help clean them up.  That's what a business owner does because the customer is "always right."  However, upon hearing that peroxide and a stiff bristle did not remove them and upon analyzing photos further, I determined that the spots couldn't be from cement.  However, I was still willing to come down there and help you with your problem, I just needed you to bear with me in terms of my extremely busy season.  Now that you have made this into a mountain, I refuse to help you with your issue.  I'd rather use the $300 toward a lawyer at this point, although mark my word I would have definitely been out there to help you.  Further, my company does not practice business poorly.  Simply surfing the web, you will be able to see that, in our industry and in overall business practice, we have been rated top notch in NJ.  We are an honest company who help people like yourself in need repairs done and even when they cannot afford the payment, offering discounts.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The lies continue and the owner continues to make excuses for their actions. For starts Theron said that my Revdex.com complaint is "slander". Slander means making false and damaging statements about (someone). There is nothing that I wrote that was false. They came to a do a job and they didn't clean up correctly and left me with damaged lime stone, that's not false. Theron also said he has not been sued but he responded himself on [redacted] to the very person who sued him. Interesting. Please see attached document x1. I also saw that review and a few other unpleasant ones "upon surfing the web" like he suggested. Whenever someone gives him a bad review he seems to say how he has impeccable service while not addressing the issue at hand, just like in this matter. As for the "weeks later" or "months later",  it's still a huge exaggeration on his part because the text message correspondence shows it was a few days later., not "weeks later". As for saying I made this into "a mountain", again you're not taking responsibility for your own actions and lack there of. I waited months and you didn't show up and you ignored me after your company damaged my steps, now I contacted the Revdex.com and it seems we cant reach a resolution so this a "mountain" you continue to climb with your own actions. The owner expects to me to just deal with their poor work ethic and pay out of my own pocket to fix a mess that he made...after numerous times of ignoring my calls, texts, emails and not showing up the times that were promised? Maybe some other former clients you have done this too might let it go, but I refuse too.  It's also interesting he doesn't address the text messages he ignored and the times he said he would show up to fix it and was a no show. That doesn't sound like good service to me and further shows what I have had to deal with. Theron doesn't address the cement that came pouring out of my gutters too from their sloppy clean up. The picture shows that as well. Maybe the cement was from Santa Clause?? Because it has to be anyone other than his company. Btw The chimney is right above the steps where they did their sloppy clean up and that's why the spots are left there. The steps weren't even a year old when the job was performed so him trying to push blame on another company is just plain silly and counter productive. It's also pretty apparent by his actions (of ignoring) and lack there of (not showing up when he said he would numerous times) that he will not take responsibility for his companies actions and I hope anyone else who comes across this company doesn't have to deal with being a victim of their poor workmanship. I want to thank the Revdex.com for their time and trying to resolve this issue and I will be taking this a further step being the owner lied multiple times (within a 60 day time period) about coming  to clean up their mess.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The owner is a liar. I have attached pictures of him saying he would be out multiple times to clean it up and he never showed up. In these messages he also took blame and apologized in writing. That's not counting the phone calls where he said he would come out personally and apologized for their sloppiness too. The cement spots on the steps were there from his company (and were never there before) as well as all the cement that washed down my gutters because they don't know how to properly clean up their mess and they have an owner that apparently allows that type of work ethic. Theron even apologized for it (see attached screen shots) so him acting like the spots weren't there because of them is a blatant lie. Also the screen shots will show how he is a custom to lieing even more because he said I contacted him months later but I did 2 days after I tried to remove the spots myself(which I shouldn't have in the first place) and he wouldn't respond. The pictures  show March 31 to April 2nd is hardly "months later" that I brought this up like he claimed. After multiple calls he did finally call back and made a promise to show up. He also said in his Revdex.com reply that these spots "werent from his company" but when I spoke to him he told me how this "happens all the time" and he has a solution or uses peroxide to remove these spots. He even tried to text me a tip of using peroxide to remove the spots because "it has worked well for him in the past", which show this isn't a first time occurence for his company and this is how he removes the left over mess that he hasn't properly trained his employees to clean. Since this has happened I have done some research and saw I'm not the only victim of this companies poor practices, and he has been sued recently as well.  I'm not going to accept this pitiful response and be another victim of this outfits shady business practices. The pictures attached show what he has said and show on top of them not cleaning up properly he isn't a man of his word and didn't fix their errors.  The part where he said this complaint "isnt fair" is a joke because it's not fair that I paid for a service and they damaged my new steps as well as left cement in my gutters. As for him saying he discounted the service is another lie because one of his workers quoted me that $900 price originally (during a chimney cleaning) and I asked why the price changed and then he said he would do the job for the first price. Its far from a discount, its just not running the price up after a quote is made from their own employee. Being I waited months for him to show up and he didn't (when he said he would) and he is refusing to pay to have a professional fix his mess, my next option will be legal recourse if this can't be resolved through the Revdex.com. Regards,[redacted]
