Allen Edwards Construction and Repair

Unprofessional business and services I hired Allen Edwards Construction on August 7, 2015 and paid [redacted] a $800 money order deposit and signed a contract for wood repairs to my house. The remainder of the total cost $1596.00 was to be paid when the job was completed. He was to start on August 11 and didn't show up or call. He showed up Wednesday, August 12 without calling late afternoon to power wash my house. He said he would be back August 13 and didn't call or show up. I called August 14 and left a message about not calling or showing up. [redacted] showed up with one worker on August 15 without any supplies. He left to order/pick up supplies and did not give the person correct instructions on what was to be removed to be repaired. The guy that removed some wood rot did a very unprofessional job and little was repaired. [redacted] ask me to pay the worker $100 that was suppose to be for extra repairs that was never repaired by that person. There is nowhere in the contract for me to pay his workers. I did pay the $100 and no extra work was ever repaired. That brings the total paid to [redacted] $900. $100 more than stated in the original contract. August 17 [redacted] showed up at 3:30pm with two workers and they poorly replaced partial repairs. They didn't have all the supplies to finish all repairs. [redacted] left for a doctor appointment and returned asking me to pay his workers $300. I told him it isn't my responsibility to pay his workers. He became irate and kept asking me to pay his workers $300. I didn't pay them and he didn't pay them either. They never got paid. On August 18 and September 21, I had two companies look at the repairs [redacted] work crew did. They both said the repairs were done very poorly. August 19 I called to cancel any further repairs from [redacted] Construction because I was not satisfied with his unprofessional business and repairs. I told him I expected a refund and $800/$900 worth of repairs were not done. He came to pick up his equipment on August 20 and became very irate. He did not say anything about a refund and said see you in court for breech of contract. He again ask me for $300 and he would forget about court. I once again told him the contract did not state anything about me paying his work crew. He said that was right. I did tell him to let me think and I decided to not let him finish the unprofessional repairs. He called and left a message saying he had not heard back from me and I did not return the call because I had told him already I did not want him to finish the repairs that I was not satisfied with. I have since hired another company on September 21 to repair the unprofessional repairs his workers started. ///// Desired SettlementI expect a refund for the unfinished repairs and the poorly installed repairs./////
