Ms*** had recently purchased the vehicle (see Temp Tag on invoice attached)She brought the vehicle in on Wednesday, 3/1/17, and it was serviced by our General Manager, James C***The vehicle is years old and has 266,774+ miles on itThis was the only time we serviced the vehicleWhen
the vehicle arrived, it was quart low on oilThe engine was NOT knocking but we did notice the maintenance light was on (see invoice attached)We drained the oil and added quarts of 10WHigh Mileage OilShe brought the vehicle back on Saturday, 3/6/and said she took it to Advance Auto PartsThe Manager told her there was no oil in the vehicle and added quartsJames said when she brought the vehicle back, the engine was knocking and it was quarts overfullHe showed Ms*** the dipstick and told her the man at Advance Auto overfilled itHe questioned why he would add quartsJames drained the quarts and showed her the dipstick againHe told her that we did nothing wrong and she leftOn Monday, 3/6/17, she called our store Manager, Kyle H***Kyle said there was nothing he could do and transferred her to James C***'s voice mail.No mechanical item is designed to last forever and everything wears out eventuallyMs***' engine problem is due to a mechanical failure and had nothing to with the service we performedWe maintain that the service we performed on Ms***' ChevMonte Carlo was in keeping with the highest standards of our industry and that we did nothing nor omitted to do anything which could have contributed to the cause of the engine problem and we must respectfully decline any payment of any portion of this claim.Thank you

On Friday, 6/26/17, Mr*** brought in a *** Town & Country Van for an oil changeOur Manager, Mitch, greeted Mr*** outsideMr*** asked Mitch how much for an oil changeMitch told him $+ Tax for a basic oil change and told him to step insideOur
Cashier, Kellie, entered Mr***’s information into the computerKellie uses a reference sheet, which is attached to the counter, to explain the pricing and benefits of the different oil types that we carry which are recommended according to the vehicle type, the vehicle’s mileage, and the customer’s driving habits (see copy attached)After explaining everything, she asked Mr*** what type of oil he wanted installedMr*** asked Kellie what oil she would useThe van had 73,miles on itShe said if it were her vehicle, she would use Synthetic Blend Oil which is best for vehicles over 70,She told him the oil change would be $+ Tax for Synthetic Blend OilHe agreed so they proceeded with the oil changeAs Kellie was billing out Mr*** he became upsetShe was unable to explain the services performed because he grabbed the invoice and left before she had a chance toMr*** did not say anything to Kellie about our advertising.Mr*** stated he received our ad for an oil change for $We do not do direct mail advertising so we don’t know what he’s referring toWe do advertise on various websites on the internetOne of them is our own at www.faslube.com which states “with every standard oil change, our expert staff will perform the following services: install a new Pennzoil oil filter” which is included in the service at no additional charge (see copy of web page attached)The additional charge Mr*** is referring to is the $upgrade charge for the Synthetic Blend Oil and not the oil filter (see copy of invoice attached).Our employees are not paid commission and do not receive pay for oil upgradesThey are told to make recommendations and it’s up to the customer to decide what they want.Mr*** agreed to upgrade the Synthetic Blend Oil and although we feel we didn’t do anything wrong, we will reimburse Mr*** for the upgraded oil charge in the amount of $+ $tax for a total of $A check will be issued and mailed to Mr*** within 7-business daysThank you.

I've been waiting since April for a resolution. Tony told me he sent the info to his bosses and they would contact me. They never did. That was months ago. I can send a copy of the email.
