*** *** was on my car lot with a friend of his in July of and they did buy a Corvette. He approached me about my and Camaro's that were under car covers and parked in the far southwest corner of my lot. They were not displayed for sale and were not parked near
any of my cars that were displayed for sale. Neither car have motors or transmissions in them, they are shells that have been stripped of everything other than suspension and tires to roll on. I told him that I owned them and that they were not for sale. My plan was to restore them and keep one for myself and sell the other one. Over the next couple of weeks Mr*** came into my office a couple of times and asked me if I would sell the Camaro for $5,if he agreed to use my mechanical and body shop to restore the car for him. I thought about it and due to his persistance I agreed. We shook hands and on 8/14/he gave me a $dollars in cash, which I wrote him a receipt for that showed a balance of $4,000.00. On 8/16/he came in and gave me another $1,dollars, which I wrote him a receipt for showing a balance of $3,000.00. He was due to come in every week and give me $1,dollars until it was paid and then I would give him the title. I trusted him so I considered our verbal agreement and receipts as our agreement. There was never any talk of contracts and I am always available as I work days a week from 9-6, Monday through Saturday. I didn't hear from him for a month or two and wasn't to concerned about it because I had the car and the title. He called me a few months ago and told me he had cancer and asked me if I would refund his money. I told him I was sorry about him having cancer and asked him to come in and talk to me so we could figure out something fair for both of us. He never called me or came in to talk to me about the situation

I am rejecting this response because: I was not told at the time of purchase that the vehicle had warranty through the installer of the supercharger for a 3 year period or 36,000 miles. I was told the vehicle still had a remaining factory powertrain warranty of a 5 year/100k miles. I still feel that Allen Motors should not be able to advertise that a vehicle has a powertrain warranty if they know the car has a supercharger on it that will void that warranty.
Yes Allen Motors has said that they would charge me $5,000-$7,000 to fix the motor, but again I think they should cover the cost due to the fact that they sold me the car stating that it still had a factory powertrain warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles.

Review: I bought a 2010 Chevy Camaro from Allen Motors on June 7, 2012. I was told this vehicle still had Powertrain Warranty until 8-28-2014 or 100,032 miles. On March 30th 2014 the motor in the car blew up. I took it to the Three Way Chevrolet Dealer in Bakersfield, California to get repaired and was told due to modifications on the vehicle the warranty was not warrantable and it would cost me $10,000 to fix it. I purchased the vehicle with the modifications on it and feel that I was mislead in believing that it still had the manufacture warranty from GM.Desired Settlement: I would like the vehicle engine to be replaced or be refunded for the necessary repairs it needs that I will have to pay out of pocket. This is my daily driver and is causing a hardship.

Review: On or about July 13, 2013, I was in the market for a muscle car and vivited several "automobile dealer"s in search of the same. I went to [redacted] Motors and subsequently purchased a 2003 Corvette. I paid in excess of $30,000.00 cash for the vehicle. After driving the Corvette for a month or so I decided it was not the performance car I was looking for and restarted my search at "automobile dealerships." I again visited [redacted] Motors and noticed a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro on the 3rd row of the dealership's display row of vehicles for sale. I approached the owner-[redacted]-and asked how much he was asking for the Camaro. He stated he was asking $7,000, however, if I agreed to let his body shop perform the needed body work he would sell me the vehicle for $5,000.00 plus body shop fees. I informed him that I had no place to store the non-operable car but that I would build a garage. I then asked if I could make installment payments until the garage was completed. He agreed and I told him to write it up reflecting our agreement well as the terms and conditions of the purchase. He then stated he was in a hurry and would write the contract later. I gave him a $1,000.00 initial installment and he wrote a generic receipt(dated August 14, 2013.) On August 16, 2013, I returned and gave [redacted] a 2nd installment of $1,000.00 dollars cash. He started, again, writing a generic receipt and I asked about the contract. He stated he would write it that day and call me. He handed me the generic receipt and I left. One week later, having not heard from him I called and was unable to reach hi. I called several more ties and left messages, to no avail. I then went to the dealership and saw him. He stated he was busy and had no time to talk. He then walked off. I called and left a message informing him that I wanted my money back as he had failed to live up to his word. He called back and stated he would refund my money as soon as he got it. I was subsequently diagnosed with inoperable Pancreatic Cancer. I decided to go into a hospice and would be moving out of Thousand Oaks. I called [redacted] and informed him of the sae and again asked fro a refund. He the stated the Camaro was his personal car and as such he didn't have to refund me anything. I was flabbergasted! I would never have shopped "DEALERSHIPS" searching for a "privately owned vehicle." Moreover, if it was a privately owned vehicle why was it displayed and alluded to as for sale by [redacted] Motor's? [redacted] now refuses to respond to numerous calls, emails, or mailings. I am requesting that [redacted] refund my $2,000.00. I have requested a refund no less than ten-times. I further request a copy of this complaint be forwarded to [redacted] Motor's.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that my money-$2,000.00-be refunded
