Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Allen has compiled two claims into one The additional monies requested to which Allen refers is a separate claim due to physical damage to my wife because the work area holes were not properly marked The fact is that I gave Allen a $dollar deposit back in October, He owes $for the work another contractor completed Allen was terminated before he completed the work because of poor workmanship and not showing up, increasing the finish time, from the estimated one week to over weeks If you read Allen's other reviews, you will see that this seems to be a pattern from Allen Nursery Sincerely, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] called to inform the Revdex.com that Mr [redacted] had called on 5/24/ They spoke regarding the complaint and after discussing the matter, the complaint is resolved and Mr [redacted] is satisfied with the company's response

Please find attached the correspondences between Allen Outdoor Solutions and Mr***, clearly stating the instability of the client and all the troubles the company has experienced Mr*** continually refused to meet to sign a change order when he requested additions to the proposal. The client also continued to extort money from Allen, asking for discounts after what was agreed upon and even asked for a lighting project to be installed at half price accusations were made of his wife getting injured on steps that were untouched by Allen, accusations made before the client fired Allen for a second time for unjustifiable reasons. Steve is concerned that these fictitious postings will hurt the reputation of his company. He is eager to hear from you about what he should do to resolve the issue at hand Sincerely, *** ***

The homeowner called Allen Outdoor Solutions on 6/8/to schedule the backflow test, this is the first time this homeowner has used this companyOur office personnel noted in the office comments that the homeowner stated that the system was not active therefor the work order was scheduled as a
Test onlyWhen our technician arrived on 6/15/to performed the test the water was onThe technician states this in the work order, as well as that the homeowner might call at a later date for an evaluation of repairs that might be needed A winterization of the sprinkler system was not purchased nor requested and would be uncommon at the beginning of JuneWe were not contacted to evaluate or winterize the sprinkler system at any later dateThe homeowner did not contact us again until 6/1/to test the backflow device a second time on 6/6/when it was found that the backflow device had sustained considerable freeze damage due to not winterizingThe technician on site informed the homeowner during the service call, in person that the backflow device would need to be replacedIt is stated in the work order that the homeowner would be out of town and would contact us laterSince the test failed and the backflow device would need to be replace due to the freeze damage we waived the fee for the test as a courtesy, with the belief that the homeowner would contract with us for the backflow replacementWe spoke to the homeowner approximately a week later and informed him of the cost of replacing the backflow deviceHe was not happy with this price and stated that we needed to pay for the replacement of the backflow device since it was not winterizedIt is the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that sprinkler system is winterizedAllen Outdoor Solutions did not install this sprinkler system and the backflow device is not under any warranty, and was not contracted to winterize the sprinkler systemWe understand the customer’s frustration and sympathize to show good faith we are willing to work with the customer on discounting this device and would like to continue working with this homeownerWe have attached the history showing the office comments as well as the technician’s remarks. *** ***President,Allen Outdoor Solutions, Inc.*** *** *** *** StLouis, MO 63119ph: *** * **fax: ***@allenoutdoorstl.com

The owner of the company, *** ***, contacted me and set up a meeting to discuss this issue
During this meeting all aspects of the problem were discussed There were a few issues that did not directly involve Allen Outdoor Solutions Some aspects of the issues that I was having with the company were accepted by *** ***We negotiated a settlement to this complaint I am satisfied with his proposalAll work was completed today by his company and I am happy with the outcomeThe bottom line to this complaint was communication within his company Communication with me as the consumer Communication between the office staff at Allen OutdoorThis incident will not sway my use of Allen Outdoor for my sprinkler system maintenance in the future This was hopefully an isolated incident and will not happen again I am requesting that this incident report be closed out

Test only. When our technician arrived on 6/15/15 to performed the test the water was on. The technician states this in the work order, as well as that the homeowner might call at a later date for an evaluation of repairs that might be needed.  A winterization of the sprinkler system was not purchased nor requested and would be uncommon at the beginning of June. We were not contacted to evaluate or winterize the sprinkler system at any later date. The homeowner did not contact us again until 6/1/16 to test the backflow device a second time on 6/6/2016 when it was found that the backflow device had sustained considerable freeze damage due to not winterizing. The technician on site informed the homeowner during the service call, in person that the backflow device would need to be replaced. It is stated in the work order that the homeowner would be out of town and would contact us later. Since the test failed and the backflow device would need to be replace due to the freeze damage we waived the fee for the test as a courtesy, with the belief that the homeowner would contract with us for the backflow replacement. We spoke to the homeowner approximately a week later and informed him of the cost of replacing the backflow device. fact is that I gave Allen a $8000 dollar deposit back in October, 2015.  He owes $2700 for the work another contractor completed.  Allen was terminated before he completed the work because of poor workmanship and not showing up, increasing the finish time, from the estimated one week to over 7 weeks.  If you read Allen's other reviews, you will see that this seems to be a pattern from Allen Nursery.
