I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However to be clear this figure, $963.82 is $100 higher than the amount originally offered by the rookingagemt. I will count the $50 as an expensive lesson learned. Mr. [redacted] did purchase a trip to Hawaii from our agency and we did take care of his air fare and hotel package. He later asked us to help book some optional sightseeing tours since he did not have a credit card to prepay so we did help him. This is something that we would not normally...
do as we usually refer clients to book them locally once there.....just because of situations like this. While in Hawaii several of his tours were canceled due to weather and there were some of the tours that he did get to take that we had booked for him. Once he returned he came in our office to request the refund. We advised him that we would have to contact the tour companies that the tours were booked with to request the credit for the tours that were canceled due to weather issues. We were able to get full refunds on the tours that were canceled except a small service fee that one of the companies charged us. We did process a refund ticket from our office on 8/8/16 check #[redacted] in the amount of $963.82 for Mr. [redacted].When in came in to pick up the check, he was speaking with his booking agent [redacted] and she gave him this refund check and he was upset that the check did not include the $50.00 booking service fee that we charge for our services of booking these tours and handling the payments for him. This service fee was paid for by Mr. [redacted] when he booked these tours and was on the invoice we gave him as his receipt for the payment of $1613.72 on 6/22/16 invoice number 368824. So this fee was not a surprise charge and it is a normal fee we charge for handling reservations that are non commissionable items for our agency. He gave us his check #[redacted] which he paid us on 6/29/16. I still have the check in the amount of $963.82 for Mr. [redacted] to pick up or I can mail him the check today. I am not inclined to refund the $50.00 service fee since [redacted] did perform the services and booked the tours and handled the refunds correctly. Our agents work on these service fees and commissions and Mrs. [redacted] did provide the service for these bookings.I would ask Mr. [redacted] or Revdex.com to advise how to get the refund to him. I am sorry that he feels that we have provided poor service as we strive to take care of each of our customers with the upmost care and attention. We hope this matter can be resolved in a timely manner and if you need copies of any of these invoices, I will be happy to provide them. I also want to state the Mr. [redacted] never spoke with me, the manager about these issues and had he done so, I think we could have resolved this issue without a complaint being filed.
