Absolutely terrible!!! I have an [redacted] & [redacted] 1940's stove that needed oven repairTheir website has an entire page devoted to saying they are knowledgable about these particular antique stovesThey are NOT! Despite telling them on the phone that I have this stove, they sent a guy named ART who knew nothing about my stoveNOTHINGHe said it needed a new gas valve but they only put in NEW parts and basically, unless he could find a NEW gas valve, I'm ***They DO NOT replace parts that are not brand spanking new and my stove is from the 40s...duh...no new parts are availableOnly refurbished partsHe tried to look busy with a piece of sandpaper, scraping something in the oven but, it was a ruseI asked him about a burner that was not firing up and he totally ignored meHe couldn't leave fast enoughHe said he'd call me once he'd done some online research on the part I needed and he never didI had to call the company myself days laterOf course I complainedAnd, after speaking to different women managers, both were stubborn and refused to apologizeReally really terrible customer service! So, $for a service call that amounted to nadaIn addition...during my conversation[redacted] managers could not tell me an estimate for any additional work (if I so chose to call again) because it would depend on where the company was and that pricing was not based solely on time [redacted] So, they can quote prices depending on whether their company is busy or not busy...whether they're making enough money that month or not? Ridiculous! I called other repair companies and one of them looked at only photos of my oven and diagnosed it to be a SAFETY VALVE issueIn stark contrast, [redacted] guy had no idea what the safety valve was when I pointed it outI ended up having another company come out and fix my ovenThey were awesome! The guy figured out it was indeed the safety valve and replaced it in minutesAlso, he fixed my burner issue in minutesTheir service call was $and they had the part with themOMG! DO NOT HIRE [redacted] for any reason

Just want to share, 1st appointment, tech showed up mins late Diagnosed the issues and I gave a deposit for the part needed 2nd appointment, tech did not show up Did a follow up the next day, spoke with Fred who claims to be the only person in charge and blamed me for the tech not showing He stated that I did not confirm I did call and told them I am at home and waiting Rude tech and rude manager This is my honest opinion of this company Your experience may vary

apparently this company has gone transition and is no longer Allen and son, it's my applianceservice.com I called for an issue with a whirlpool refrigerator, they claimed that they had a certified technician that will come diagnose and fix the problem, fee applies to house visit we were fine with that until the technician arrived, he didn't seem to know the fridge, was rude, and told us that he was here only to clean not diagnose and repair the fee for cleaning which was not disclosed at any point prior to this is 250, then the company requires a subsequent appointment for diagnosis upon calling I spoke to a gentleman that claims to be the son, he was polite but didn't offer any options suitable after lying, and advertising the least they could have done is refund the fee this experience overall has not been good, I will not recommend this company due to advertising, misleading information and practices

Just want to share, 1st appointment, tech showed up 45 mins late. Diagnosed the issues and I gave a deposit for the part needed. 2nd appointment, tech did not show up. Did a follow up the next day, spoke with Fred who claims to be the only person in charge and blamed me for the tech not showing. He stated that I did not confirm. I did call and told them I am at home and waiting. Rude tech and rude manager. This is my honest opinion of this company. Your experience may vary.

I called Allen and Sons to arrange for a repairman to come out and look at my malfunctioning [redacted] dishwasher. In response, an independent contractor with his own company, [redacted] showed up at the house. Frank spent a few minutes diagnosing the problem, which he said was that I needed a new motor. He would have to order it but it would arrive in a couple of days. I wrote him a $150 check as a down payment and expected to see him in a couple of days. A week passed and I called Allen and Sons back. I was told that the motor would be coming in a few more days. Again, I called after a few days, only to be told that the motor was on its way and scheduled to arrive the following Tuesday. The following Tuesday arrived and no word from Allen and Sons. Again and again the same thing happened. After 3 1/2 weeks of being told that it would be just a few more days or the following week, I called and complained that something didn't seem right. I was told that it was all [redacted] fault that the motor hadn't arrived and that it was just the way it was working with [redacted] A few minutes later in the conversation, I was told me that this was the first time they had ever had to wait for a motor from [redacted] All of which is to say that communication is not a strong card for Allen and Sons. But further, it doesn't seem to me to be good service to promise a customer that a part is coming in x time, when you actually have no idea when the part is coming. After almost a month of this going round and round I lost trust in the company and wondered if I would ever get back my $150 or my [redacted] motor. I complained to the company and they [redacted] returned $105 of my initial check. $45 was kept as the cost of a "service" visit. Was this what anyone would call SERVICE????

DO NOT HIRE [redacted] for any reason.

I wished I checked here first. they over charge, they lie on the invoices (your copy only) their original copy will not show corrections, changes or even what the tech states verbally. They are not easy on your appliance either. watch them like a hawk! Question everything and GET IT IN WRITING BOTH OR ALL COPIES TO READ EXACTLY THE SAME
