Met with owner of vehicle Saturday,Feb. 28th in the am.Discussed the actions taken by the tech, along with the tech present in regards to the repairs on their vehicle. The tech expressed that he heard...

the transmission making a noise in 5th gear  during the before & after repairs roadtests.. Also note that the tech verbally expressed the same to me the day of repairs. The customer concerns on the repair order were for a problem with bad front struts that were previously recommended & a scratching noise in the dashboard area. Inspection of the vehicle showed the need for a broken, siezed up front strut needed along with front brake pads which were worn out.  Customer agreed to installing 1 strut and replacing brake pads. This was  the most cost efficient way of improving the safety of vehicle with out going forward with a complete brake job with rotor replacement & both recommended front struts. We addressed their concerns the most effective way for them. Note they chose not to pursue the clicking, scratching noise in dash.
These areas of repair do not reflect on any transmission functions. We in no way come close to working on or near the transmission and clearly had nothing to do with their complaint. It is also noted in our repair history of same vehicle that on Dec.5th 2013 and just 11,000 miles ago the car was in our shop with a shifting problem. Our repair order states transmission came in low on trans fluid, transmission has internal damage,Recomend transmission replacement... We did at that time repair the transmission seal that caused the leak, and filled the transmission. All this is recorded in our history & on the owners receipts which they received.
I understand the owners concerns of the transmission noise but we did not cause it or do anything to bring it about.Vehicle has over 200,000 miles and has enough wear &tear along with its loss of fluid previously. The technician felt that the owner was just trying to take care of safety issues only especially after hearing the noise prior to working on car and figured they had to have known it was there too. After all,, the previous history says internal trans damage, ..Recommend trans replace....
                                        ... Thank You,

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the business. He found the invoice in the system under a different customer name. He had not been made aware of this issues but will take of this for the customer as soon as possible. The invoice shows an address in town and he would be happy to realign the issue for him...

as soon as he can come in. However, since the address provided in the complaint is out of town the customer can call the business, ask to speak with [redacted], and he will refund.

Review: Recently, I purchased a [redacted] from a seller in Richmond to return to my home state in Maryland. On 3/30/2015, the seller scheduled an appointment to have Allen Tire realign the front end of the vehicle after the seller replaced the tie rod. Allen Tire advertises its front end alignments cost $75.00. In addition, I heard [redacted], Allen Tire, tell a customer over the telephone that alignments cost $75.00. However, [redacted] said that my vehicle would cost $85.00, because [redacted] can take a few hours more to align than the average vehicle, which [redacted] said was 1 hour. In addition, [redacted] charged me $5.95 for "Misc Shop Supplies" and .32 tax for a total cost of $91.27. In addition, I noted that my vehicle only took about 1 hour to align. As I was driving to Maryland, I noted that the steering wheel was crooked and turned to the right while the car appeared to travel in a straight line. My mechanic in Maryland advised that the alignment shop should have aligned my steering wheel with the front wheels. Based on the foregoing, I telephoned [redacted] later that afternoon and left him a voicemail requesting a partial refund. After not hearing from [redacted], I called back a couple days later and spoke to him. I explained the circumstances to him and he agreed I should receive consideration on my bill. He said he would call me back soon after speaking to his management. However, I never heard from him and called [redacted] back several days later. [redacted] said he hadn't addressed the issue with his management yet but would call me back with an answer soon. It is now 4/28/2015 and I still have not heard back from [redacted]. Allen Tire, Inc conducted this service under Invoice # F-[redacted]. I believe Allen Tire has provided me with poor quality delivered service.Desired Settlement: I have lost confidence in the credibility and competence of Allen Tire personnel and would like a complete refund. I plan to take my vehicle to another alignment shop in Maryland to ensure that the job is done correctly. Thank you.

Review: On the second week of February 2015, I have telephoned ALLEN TIRE INC, [redacted] to have my vehicle checked and serviced on the items listed below:a)Check my front left (Driver Side) Suspension and Shocks. It hits hard during freezing weather.b)Check the right front area of the vehicle. It makes a scratching noise at start up (At times).c)Check and refill the transmission fluid if needed. The front desk had requested that I bring my vehicle in early Friday morning. So I have decided to bring it in Thursday, 12 February 2015 after work, so they can have it early Friday morning as requested. As my Wife and I walked home on that Thursday, 12 February 2015 at approximately 04:15 PM, the front desk called us within the hour and stated that it needed a complete fixture on my left front Strut to include the spring (Coil) and all, new brakes on the right front and that it wouldnt pass inspection if it was not fixed, and that the Serpentine Belt needed to be replaced. On Friday, 13 February 2015 early morning, they called my cell and said that the car was ready for pick up. They gave us a printout, we paid our invoice at the front desk, and we went on our way. My Wife and I had several errands to do that day (Friday, 13 February 2015) and when we drove out of the city limits on [redacted] towards [redacted], I placed the gear into the fifth and it started making a very loud noise, so we decided to turn around and take it back to Allen Tire Inc. Once at their shop, we explained our concerns about the loud noise to the front desk worker where she talked to the mechanic about it thru the open door. She tried to give us back the key and stated that the mechanic told her that the loud noise was there when he took it for a test drive. They refused to look over the car to see what the problem may be and just gave us the key back. The front desk worker stated that she has told us that we had transmission problems and that it is now broke. We explained to the front desk worker that the loud noise was not there when we brought in our vehicle, but she stated that the mechanic said that it was. The only thing she told us about the transmission over a year ago was that it had a small leak and that they have fixed it.First of all, they did not check or refilled the transmission fluid as requestedSecond, the front desk worker stated that The mechanic said that he took it for a test drive and that it was already making loud noises, If he would of taken it for a test drive when he first received the car on that Thursday evening, he should have known that the noise was not there! He cannot declare that he took it for a test drive and checked the car for all the defects that they mentioned were wrong with the car in about 45 minutes after we left the shop on that Thursday evening. Nonetheless, if the mechanic noticed a loud noise after they fixed the car, why did they not inform us about it before we left the shop on Friday morning, 13 February 2015? There was no mentioned about transmission problems or loud noises during the phone conversation on Thursday evening or when we picked up the car Friday morning. The transmission pretext was used against us when we brought the car back into the shop and let them know about the loud noise in the car.In reality, dont you think that we would have brought the car into the shop if we had noticed loud noises coming from the engine, just like we brought it in because the shock was not working properly during freezing weatherWe are stunned and in disbelieve that they are calling my Wife and I liars and the refusal of service. It is also just so depressing that they treated us discourteously, just as we were in the impression that we had found an auto service that we could trust!Desired Settlement: Request for my vehicle be re-evaluated (or second opinion) and for Allen Tire Inc to fix the loud noise. It was not there when we brought it in on Thursday evening, 12 February 2015 and we want it gone. We cannot drive our car now on fifth gearThe loud noise came to be after they worked on it and after we picked it up Friday morning, 13 February 2015. In addition, we still need our transmission checked for low fluid and refilled if needed.
